    Plug in diode

Well msa got back to me and said they don't have a plug in diode for the early 260z. Oh well

    Plug in diode

Thank very much for your help. I just ordered the plug in diode in the link you sent me. I never checked voltage at the battery bit I assume it would have been very high? The battery wasn't great anyway so I'll be getting a new one when the diode arrives. Hopefully it will sort it. Thanks for the links I'll have a read through them all now

    Plug in diode

Yeah. I bought a new alternator not realising it was an internally regulated one. I just swapped them straight over without changing anything. Then of course I had the run on issue. I was then told I need a diode but wasn't told any rewiring was required? It's an early 1974 260z austrailian import Thanks

    Plug in diode

Cool thanks for that. I'm afraid I'm completely hopeless at wiring. I read somewhere where you can get a plug in diode. It plugs directly into where the regulator goes?

  7. Hi all Ive just installed a new alternator, however it's an internally regulated alternator so I'm now having problems with run on. I'm looking for a plug in diode. If someone has one or knows where ide get one that would've great. Thanks Jay
  8. Here's my car when I first got it, as you can see the rear height is fine, the springs must be the problem, its an early 1974 model (march). Should have said I had the shocks on the softest setting also, The spring rates I went for are 150f/175r. Cheers
  9. I had my shocks set at 5, I dont know what MSA were at but the springs I got are not right. The coilovers are on the way so hopefully they will work out for me.
  10. Well I contacted MSA about the problem I had, they said that the part number ending on 001 were the front springs and 002 were the rears. So I went out to the garage and checked, I couldn't find any part number at all on the front springs, so I checked the rears, and there I seen it 001, So I took out the rear spring and put it on the front, the front is now like a dam jeep. Ended up ordering ground conrol coilovers yesterday, hopefully these will sort out my problem.
  11. Thanks for your replys guys, Im almost 100% sure I have them the right way round but I'll double check again before I go down the coilover route
  12. Yeah your actualy right, I have eibach lowering springs at the moment, I think im going to have to get some height adjustable ones, Thanks
  13. Hi all, My car has always been sitting lower on the back, I put this down to worn rear shocks, I put in a set of tokiko illumina springs and shocks last summer thinking this would cure it but its still the same, I measured from the sills to the groung on the fron and rear and its sitting approx 35mm lower in the rear, Anyone have any idea's why this would be? You can Kind of see it in the pic below, If you look at the front of the rear wheel and the back of the front wheel you can see the difference, It starting to bug me now
  14. Hi all, Looking for a damper for my l28, something along the lines of bhf, ati ect. Thanks
