  1. Ay thanks guys! Yeah, I'm running on SUs and I guess it only makes sense to go with the gasket that they provided with the header so I guess it'll be the bottom one. Appreciate it.
  2. Hi everybody. Just had a newbie question to ask. I'm swapping in an l28 motor into my 260 and I was planning to use the headers that's currently on the car. I've realized that the 280 P79 exhaust ports are slightly different from the 260 E88 exhaust ports. Motosports auto, who I got my headers from, told me that it shouldn't be a problem and I can see that the differences aren't really that big. I just wanted to know what you guys thought. I posted a picture of the two gaskets. The P79 gasket on top and the E88 header gasket on the bottom. Also, in this situation I would use the 260 E88 header gasket in the bottom right?
  3. Hey thanks Rossman. I'll definitely have more questions as my friends and I take down and rebuild my Z. I'm kinda green when it comes to this stuff and my mechanic friend is more of a Honda guy and isn't too familiar with Datsuns.
  4. Hi everyone. I'm trying to swap an l28 into my early 260z. I've read that I can pretty much take off all of the smog equipment but I just wanted to make and ask you guys if it's okay to plug up this connection from the smog pump to the block. Is that okay?...Also, does anyone know any good faq pages or pictures that can help me out in this subject? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
  5. putting in an l28 onto my 260z. I'm planning to remove my a/c but my smog pump is connected. Can I remove that smog pump? If I can, what are the procedures and what needs to be plugged off? Do I need to keep the EGR or just get a block plate?
