I have a 76 EFI harness in my Z but I got a ZX motor set, would I be able to use my ZX AFM with this harness if I use the ZX ECU?

Wow I fell off the wagon. I left for Japan in 2013 for military duties but I recently returned. I sold the old l28 out the car because it was junk. I whipped it out of my parents garage and started to bust some rust out I bought an old S130 for the motor and trans, I am parting this car out by the way. Now I got the motor in and i'm just fixing ghetto stuff and making sure everything will work perfectly As it sits now Still need to find a 75-77 AFM, fill up the fluids, and finishing fixing up my body harness. I can't wait to drive this thing!

I picked this Z up for $2,000 but I've had to leave it home in FL because I don't have to room to take with me yet. It had a messy harness, but with some help on here and long nights studying the diagrams I finally got it to start. Now to pics: This was the day after I brought it home [ Now here if the video. I was told it wasn't started for a few years but it started right up! Still gotta work out the kinks

I'm going to set up an external fuel pump and sump my gas tank, the only thing I want to know is if the stock 260z pump would keep the car running, it'll be the first time it starts in a few years.

Thanks man Is there anyway to know if the ecu is working? I spliced everything to together to try and fire it up but I didn't get any spark or fuel, I used the harness on the ignition switch. I know the pump work because i ran a wire from the battery to the pump to test it, there was a ruptured line and fuel sprayed out so I know it works. I don't know if I need it be i'm missing a condenser, I think I may have an N/A coil. -

I got a lot of the stuff fixed, I'm a little confused, I got this setup for the Fuel pump. Bought a relay for it and wired it like this, the blue/red stripe wire is the switch for the relay to power the pump. the green wire goes straight to the pump. from both relay and connector, the black/white wire is for a switched 12v, can I just splice it into the harness behind the ignition switch? -

It's a pain in the **** but I'm repairing the harness, it isn't that bad I'm just short a few connectors. The plan for now will be to get it to start and move before I head back to Virginia. -

So it's an L26? and btw does it have a newer gas tank for EFI? -

I got a few more pics of the car's wiring, please hlep me figure this out! Here is the ignition switch, There is a speaker wire spliced into the black w/white strip wire. That wire leads into the bay into this Then to this, the black wire is loose and the blue wire splices into a plug, The plug that was in the coil, there was a loose brown wire that turns into a green wire on that plug too. On the passenger side foot well, there was this plug that was loose, it has a wire thats spliced into a wire in the other plug. Not sure where the white plug goes, it comes off the body harness, same with the other. This wire is hooked up to the POS terminal and spliced into a big wire wire in the body harness. -

It was in the process of the swap when I bought it. I know there plugs for the ignition harness but my question is, if there's another harness for the ignition thats seperate from the car like the EFI harness. Here are the pics. All this wiring is hacked up. This is the plugs for the ignition harness right? Don't know what these are. I think they are to water temp, its next to the round plug. No clue what these are. I know this is the MAF plug. is it suppose to have 4 wires? Air reg and TPS, same question is two wires ok? -
I just bought my first Z and I'm in love with it! I'm trying to figure out this wiring harness, its a rats nest from the previous owner and I can't find the exact info I need. First, is the ignition harness part of the car? or is it a separate harness like the EFI? Idk if the 260 had EFI. I know there is an external fuel pump on it the electrical. Second, would the car start without the knock sensor? i'm plan to get one but I just want to start up the car. I will post up pics later tonight when I get home.
