What modifications are req'd to use the LD series crank in the RB ?

Can an L series diesel crank be modified to fit an RB ? I have a 72Z with a L28 blk E31 head . headers & 3 webers Also have an L28d crank and a set of 5.7" Carillo's What I trying to do is marry it to an RB25det and I don't have the RB yet to compare the butt end of the cranks look to be the same Is the front of the crank is too long or short
