  1. Just curious as it may pertain to this problem... Does MS still have issues with Vista? My brother had a similar issue uploading his firmware with his new laptop. I had him go back to his old XP desktop and it uploaded perfectly.

It will sometimes have problems with "permissions" settings, if you right click everything and select "open as administrator" it should work just fine.

  2. Oh yeah I didnt use the relay board. I made my own that you probably saw in the photos. I am not sure if the relay board would be redundant with the harness because I am not familiar with the relay board.

Its is, we actually sell a 12ft wire bundle for use with the relay board. Its the same wire that the harness uses, just with out the connector and loom.

  3. why not just run a line into your air cleaner assy and do it that way? It probably sounds a bit shadetree, but you could just run that line, keep the LP turned off while the car is off, start the car, turn on the LP, and your O2 sensor should show that there is a overabundance of fuel, automatically lean the engine out a bit, and viola, its running on LP (mostly).

    I think it would work.

I wouldn't do it this way, what ever you do...:ugg:

There are actually a number of people doing this conversion using the MegaSquirt. The worse thing that they run into would be the noise from the LPG injectors. There are a couple good fixes for that problem. 6 injectors on each bank shouldn't be a problem.

  4. The few number of teeth, the more interpolation the ECU needs to do between trigger pulses. The CAS is a three magnet wheel, correct? I'm fairly certain that the MS cannot use a three oulse per revolution wheel.

Another problem with the CAS crank pully is that the magnet tend to fly off when they get old. Save yourself a lot of trouble and use a 36-1 wheel. Yes, there is some fabrication involved, but one you go MS, there is no going back to stock (easily anyway). DIYAutotune has the trigger wheels and sensors.

I just wanted to correct something here. We don't actually have the crank sensors just yet, we are working on something that is easy to mount and set up. Our trigger wheels have worked with pretty much every sensor we have tested so far though.
