  1. Building an R34 RB26DETT with an NEO R34 Transmission to put in my 1972 Nissan Fairlady 240Z.  I am not a car guru or anything like that, I just trust the technical information in this forum. Can some one suggest what EMS system to use. I've been considering buying the APEXI Power FC, it has a corded controller to program engine performance. Haltech and others need a computer hookup and software to program. I don't know what information I need to supply about the engine upgrades to make this determination. New Tomei Turbos 8260's, Okeida Plasma coil Packs, 800cc injectors, 1mm oversized valves, Nismo N1 crankshaft, Tomei exhaust manifolds and dump pipes, 90mm throttle body, New Intake, Fuel rails, Bosch high flow fuel pumps X2, looking to get between 5-600 horsepower. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  3. I purchased an R34 RB26DETT to put in my 1972 Nissan Fairlady 240Z RHD.  While reading up on the R34 it seems to have an ignition immobilizer on it.  Was wondering if anyone else has done this swap and what was their solution to bypass the ignition immobilizer.  Is it just locating the pin(s) on the ECU and bypassing them or is there another solution for this problem? Thanks in advance for all who help on this issue

  5. Hello HybridZ forums:  I have been collecting parts for my 1972 Fairlady 240Z RHD build for the past year or so. Wanted to amass majority of the parts before undertaking this build.  I have acquired an R34 RB26DETT engine with an R34 RB25DET NEO 5 speed transmission.  I want to go with a twin 2 1/2" exhaust system, searched the exhaust forums and could not find out if catalytic converters and O2 sensors are needed or required.  Please understand I am not a mechanic I am just trying to gather info to complete my HybridZ.  Any insight would greatly be appreciated thank to all for your input in advanced.

  6. modern-motorsports.com (MMS) is still i business you need the hyphen in the name to access the website.  I'm running the R200 clsd out of a 87 300zxt with the cv axels, using MMS Z31 companion flanges with the 5 lug set-up also from MMS.  Looked @ the sites you referenced and MMS prices are a bit cheaper but Ross the owner of MMS is a bit slow on processing orders not taking orders but processing them for shipment.  Hope this gives you another option.

  7. building an RB26DETT to put in my '72 240Z  looking to get bigger injectors want to know the differenca between low impedance and high impedance injectors?  Any insight to my lack of knowledge on this subject would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your insight

  8. Need a set of wheel spacers for front brake upgrade. The spacer that I need are to push the rotors back away from the hubs to mate up with the calipers.  The brake set up that I want to run is the Toyota S12W calipers, 300ZX front vented rotors, Z31 hubs from Modern-Motor sports.  Tried contacting Ross from MMS for the past couple weeks no response.  Some one please H E L P.

  9. O.K. here is a question I have that I could not find in the FAQ section. I purchased the Z31 5lug hubs from Modern-Motor Sports with +40 offset, using the 300ZX vented rotors, calipers are the Toyota S12W.  My question is what is the thickness of the spacer that is needed to push the rotor back far enough from the hub so that it will mate up with the caliper.  Tried contacting Ross at MMS but to no avail, no response.

  10. O.K. Guys I have a situation that I need to have explained to me.  I purchased 240sx calipers, and the 240sx brackets from MMS and also got the stainless steel brake lines. The two lines are different lengths and they also have two different fittings that tie into the brake lines (not talking about the banjo fittings).  Why make the different lines one having to use a reducer.  Could someone please explain this setup and reasoning. Thank you in advanced
