Nice job keep us updated on how it holds up.

I'm running the same kit on my 240, get ready for race-car like steering. It's definately an increase in NVH, but as far as cornering...holy fawk!
And as someone on here pointed out: If you drive a S30 chassis, NVH is probably not your primary concern.
There are pics of the install on my build thread if you want to check them out on a car.
I was also going to lambast you for putting Streetglows on a Z, good joke.
Oh come on purple neon's and a HUGE aluminum wing would be um unique. lol Ill look up your thread thanks for the info.

That's some awfully nice kit there you have. Do post more on how you get on with some photos.
Eventually as I'm pulling suspension components for powder-cote.
Gabe makes quality parts at reasonable prices and is easy to deal with, T3 all the way!
Yes to all as described or better, fast shipping, no hassle.
I almost pulled the trigger on a set last week. Decided to go with roll bars and sway bars instead. Still keeping my eye out for a set.
I got sway bars too but my dumb-ass got late 74 bars and I need early 74.

Yes.
It looks like it changes the lower control arm setup to a semi-leading design too since the pivot is furter away from the cars centerline. Doesn't this make the suspension less compliant when hitting bumps?
I was expecting a firm ride as I'm also installing poly bushing kit, just figured id ask as there is just enough thread to maybe fit a compression bushing.
-
Guessing around $1130+shipping. It's all on the 3T site
Yeah I paid retail, had someone had them used I'd of been all over it, but whatever guess ill be the first to mar and dirty them.
All T3 very impressed with the craftsmanship.

So do these mount without bushings ?
-
Wait what's this crap? oh well guess ill install this instead.
Some of the nicest quality suspension components I've seen, for cars at-least.
Getting package's make the weekend better.

I would go fiberglass, if they are a quality piece and look like they would fit properly and have ALL the right bolt holes and flanges for things like airdams and headlight buckets. I had my metal fenders fixed (it was 17 years ago) and I've got bubbles popping up - I get discouraged fixing the same thing twice. If you decide to go metal, please PM with a price for your fiberglass ones. The only reason I can see to not go fiberglass is fitment issues. So, try them on. If they don't fit correctly nobody is gonna want them. If I knew of a source for carbon fiber fenders, I'd look into them - I have a carbon hood and it is super light. Light weight wins everytime for me. Now, if I knew of a source for fiberglass doors that allow the use of roll-up windows and standard window frames....
Thank you for your insight. The FG fenders fit great, they are good in that department mostly chips from being stored and one or two small cracks.

Purpose - Summer DD
Bought the car as a shell both metal & FG fenders were included with the deal.
Skill - Not a problem as I have access to everything I need to make metal or FG work regardless of the labor/materials Involved.
I understand that metal rusts and fiberglass dehydrates.
Now what it looks like I should have been more clear about in my question is, are the metal fenders worth saving? or are they so rust/defect prone that the FG is the clear choice?
I stated in my op that they are both in a mild state of disrepair not horrible but I'd rather not waste effort on repairing one or the other.

You mean your original post was SERIOUS?
My apologies!
BTW, "humorous" not "humors".
So why don't you cry about it?
-
The AR has Glassfibre stock... Try using carbon Fiber vomit matrix!
If you are going to troll at least attempt to be humors.
-
Fiberglass or Metal fenders? I have both, both will need small fixes and body work which should I use?
-
Did you read this thread?
Brain fart, 280z kit got it.
-
If i'm ordering the full poly bushing kit is there any anomaly's?
-
Black hides detail and usually looks ok. I.M.O. silver looks the best/OEM but really its your call.
-
Cant go wrong with Silver Grey or Black
-
Thank you,
They were all seized up took them apart and got the rust off and tapped & white lithium-ed the adjuster bolts and now they actually adjust.

I learned the hard way too I also have an early 260z and got late swaybars wont fit LAME
