I am trying to upgrade the master cylinder on my 1972 240z from the 7/8 to 15/16". I went to kragen and ordered a master cylinder from a 1981 280zx.When it came in it had a 7/8 stamp on it. So i order one from a 1982 to see if that would be the one.The part will be in tomorrow.
So i know the 15/16" came in the 1979-81 280zx. So if this next one is wrong should i try say 1980? Anyone have this
problem before?

Yeah the drivers side rubs a little but that's why i put the rubber hose over it, not to worried about it. I did not clamp the pas side hose its same as the drivers side rubs a
little, more like just rests on the frame also not to worried about it.
The only thing is i have not drove on the street with this set up because my car is still
being worked on.
P.S if u want to see pics let me know

I have a 1972 240z want to paint it by end of summer, and need to finish the body work, filler,sanding........ all that stuff. Need body guy to come and work on the car, car is not running so would have to work on it at my house. I have some supplies sand paper, filler, guide coat, air compressor. Its not that much work to someone thats good at it but its just not my thing, so i give up. I would rather pay someone to do it.

That's gonna be one hell of a project. Why did you get the car?
Yeah it was a hell of a project, about 3 years. but most of it is already done.
just have to all filler and prime and sand and paint.
when i got the car it looked nice lot of the rust was covered with body
filler. all well lesson learned.

Doing all the body and will be painting it by the end of summer was thinking
silver or white, but the more i look at the original color i think i am going
with the yello 112. Its really starting to grow on me.
Just want to look at pics of other members yellow rides, help make my mind up. Would really help, thanks.

Has anyone else run this setup? Just looking for more feed back.

Thanks, Any of u guys have a pic you could post so i can see. As long as the general
shape is ok i will add body filler for the small details.

I bought one of these radiators pretty good looks nice and is really light.down side is seems really fragile.Fans are basic 12inch fans, radiator did have a small dent in the fins maybe from when they packed it. Hopefully it wont leak will probably not install it for a bit in the middle of fixing some rust. Also he charges tax if u live in cal didnt say on the page when i got mine.
Overall would probably buy it again

Dont think its a right hand thread, its been a wile but if i remember mine was
regular threads I have a 1972 240z. Try letting some wd-40 or what ever you
have let sit overnight and keep spraying it. I think thats what i did.

I have a 1972 240z been working on it for about three years. I was going to
try and start it soon but when i was putting the distributor in had some
problems.
I put eng at TDC then find numb 1 cylinder spark plug wire and line cap and rotor up. When i do this the bottom plate does not line up as seen in pic. And if i line up bottom plate it is no longer pointing at number 1 cylinder on cap.
The car did have some stuff changed before i bought it. It has a 280 eng
L28 block,N42 head thinking its between 1977-79 engine.Dont know what year exactly.
Was thinking mabe the guy mixed some parts around, as for the bottom
plate goes. Looks like the dizzy is from the 240z and the bottom part that the dizzy bolts to is from the 280z.
But the thing is the car ran when i bought it,drove it about 2 hours home. So i dont know, hopeing to get some pics or info.
