    Hi, nice build.

     

    i also have a s130 280zx with an rb26 conversion only i still have the twins.
    i am alose looking to go a decent size single top mounted.

    just wondering if you had any trouble fitting the topmount turbo under the bonnet?
    looking at mine, the rockercover only just fits under when i close it.

    r180 to r200 swap

    could anyone give me a quick rundown on what diff i sould be putting in my 280zx2+2 (auto shell) conv rb26dett? i have the r180 in there at the moment, im looking too do the r200 swap but not too sure what i need to do or what im needing too adapt? will the r200 half shafts fit the same as the r180 shafts on the cvs?

    I'm new to this forum, but I think I can be of assistance to any Aussies out there who want to do the RB Conversion into their Z. I am just finishing off my RB25 Conversion into a 240z. It is much easier than I am reading in this forum and alot easier than I thought it would be myself. Its like it was made for it. I used SR20 engine mounts, made a bracket to attatch to the block and the mount and presto, fits bloody great. The gearbox was the next mount I made. Which was easy too. Just did a u shape bracket and the stick fits up in the standard whole. The sump I am using is from an RB motor that has the sump bulg and the pick up at the rear(cant remember the model, ill let you know). It only needed minor mods to miss the rack but it fits great.

    If there is anybody out there that wants me to make up some of these brackets, ie gearbox and engine, let me know. Ill have to work out a price.

    The plenum is the next trick. I didnt want pipes snaking all over the engine bay, so I got a custom plenum made so the intakes on one side and the turbos on the other. This, once again looked like it was made for it. The cooler is a custom joby. Its the same size as what they use in the gtr just alot thicker.

    hi guys, Hayden here this is my first post to hybridz

    im looking too rb26dett my 280zx, ive got a rb26dett with 26box lined up for 5.5k im new to the rbz conversion so bare with me :P

     

    First of all i would like a few opinions on the makeing of the custom sump. My old man is a fitter welder by trade, is it a difficult task? will i have to design my own? or would anyone have a template that i could follow?

     

    Secondly, after setting up the awd transmition too rear, will the stock 280 driveshaft fit? or is there a driveshaft out of something else that will fit snugg?
