  1. Thanks for all the help but idk how big of a pain in the ass it will be to get off. I tried getting that 17mm off on the rear differential and that didnt work at all eve w/ a hammer. So i guess ill be taking the moustache bar off so i can get to it w/ a 19mm 12 point socket. While on the subject of the driveline i was curious to know what size bolt i should use for the drive shaft because the other day i notice mines wasnt connected and there was no site of the original bolts.
  2. I searched the entire website, my haynes manual, my transmission and online but still cant figure out how to refill the transmission. I have a 260z with the standard 4 speed; i searched the entire drivers and passenger side of the tranny but still couldnt fing where to refill it at. If someone could tell me or put a icture of where its at it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thank you for the post i dont know how far BOwie is but i have a brother in DC. And the western tip of Maryland is only 3 hours or so from me so regardless it wont be a problem for me at all if the price is right.
  4. I'm in need of a 240z,260z, and or 280z. Body must be in repairable condition. I can deal with minor rust but nothing too major. Can be a shell, parts, not running and or barely running vehicle. I'm in college in Cleveland but im from Philadelphia so anything within 400 miles of the two is doable for me. Need a cheap Z so i can begin building it at my technical school.
  5. I was wondering if anyone new any good machine shops in the Cleveland area that have either a lot of experience with OHC engines or more specifically Datsuns. The latter would be prefered. I'm moving there from PA for school and I needed to find a good place to have work done on my enginge(E88/F54) in the area. Any help will be greatly appreciate.
  6. Sorry about that, but thank you for all the information.
  7. oo so the oil galleries and holes r in the same places and i just leave the spray bar be?
  8. dont mean to sound dumb but i kno that the older heads used external oil spray bar(im pretty sure thats what its called) to lubricate the camshaft and the later models had the cams internally lubricated is there any problems ill face when instaling an E88 head on an F54 block also i plan on installing a new cam before i put it all together and form what ive read most aftermarket cams come internally lubricated so will this increase my woes or not? all help will be greatly appreciated
  9. hi i just bought a F54 with the three speed tranny connected and was wondering how to get the torque converter off, to my knowledge they usually just slide of but from the looks of it this one has been previously modified b4 b/c its welded together i didnt want to pry it off and wanted to kno if maybe there are some bolts or something attaching it to the fly wheel
