  2. Maybe a Hybrid/Le Mans 24 hours campaign in the future ???
  3. Just CURIOUS, where do you live??? At HOME is pretty vague. There is a reason for the rules stating the requirment for a location. Post a location, and I might have what you're looking for. Ps. You're not the only offender as of late.
  4. BROWN: Could be RUST. Could be OIL. Could be BARS LEAK ,(branded radiator, etc. sealer) If it is OILY in nature, drain, remove thermostat, fill with water and SIMPLE GREEN. Run, drain, repeat. This WILL clean the system. Hoping it's old/residual contamination. Flush by removing upper hose at radiator, fill radiator with hose while running, till running clear. Refill with 50/50 mix, and thermostat. If contamination recurrs, you've got oil getting into thecooling system. Either engine oil or trans fluid(if auto trans). PS: may also be baby boo booo sabotage!!
  5. Pictures, and info on the Holley carb(s)would be helpful. In my opinon, carbs are simple. Tell us/show us EXACTLY the set up you have, and maybe we can help.
  6. On some systems, if you don't have a check engine light lite up with key on, You WILL NOT be able to communicate with the ECM. Something as simple as a blown check engine light bulb can prevent scanner communication with the ecm. What about a FACTORY service manual diagnostics flow chart???
  7. My opinion....get some professional help (automotive ), and keep the LT1. Computors are cheap, and you may also have a very simple problem. Just my 2 cents......
  8. Try, http://www.repairconnector.com/
  9. Glad to hear you got it running. I was going to mention that, But the SABOTAGE section of my repair manual is missing...........
  10. Technically, the volume of fluid moved should be identical side to side. So length should not matter.
  11. Just an FYI. I'm Toyota Tech. I do a lot of brake jobs. The wheel with the most pad wear, is almost always the right front. I've never really given it a lot of thought, it's just that way.....
  12. Since you emphasized how wet it is outside..... My first thought would be wet/damp ignition wires, causing an ignition misfire. This may have also caused fouled plugs. Try drying the cap and wires with a hair dryer, and/or spraying WD40 on the ignition componets. I've seen it done/work. Good luck.
  13. Very nice work. It looks like you still have the intake water heated. My understanding is that this is only needed for warm up, in cold climates. I beleive the end fitting may be a thermostaic valve. Is it still functional ?? Curious on your thoughts and experience with this.
  14. Point taken . I beleive the OPERATIVE PHRASE, Jack off, is of the utmost importance
  15. Hey Clive, When you call ATL, ask for Lou Damico (# 2 Guy). He was a pretty sharp guy. He should remeber me, (also a # 2 guy), at Corinthian Motorworks, a somewhat removed subsidiary of ATL. I used to work on his corvette, and Peter Regna's cars,(the # 1 BIG CHEESE, and owner of ATL.) Call me if you need more info....Tommy
  16. This was my 3rd bike. Best I ever owned. 1978 Kawasaki 650 4 cyl. Bought it new. I would suggest the best "balanced" bike. Good horse power/nimble handling. Generally found in the 600-750cc range. Just realize the dangers/risks involved. I sold my 2003 Katana a few years ago. Not sure about another. A lot of good bikers are getting killed by bad auto/truck drivers. It's got me thinking. Good luck.......
  17. This may interest you. I have the COMPLETE EFI set up from a 1981 280ZX. Intake and exhaust manifolds, all shields, sensors, harness, MAF, injectors, ECM, OXYGEN SENSOR!!! etc,etc.etc. THIS A FEEDBACK SYSTEM WITH OXYGEN SENSOR. CONSIDERABLY BETTER THAN THE EARLIER SYSTEMS!!!!! Only 35 miles on all parts. That's 35 miles.. I'm looking for $450.00 But, we can talk,..open to trades. CERTAINLY no more dificult to install than the pre feedback systems. I have pics, but can't find them at the moment. Will post when I find them. Let me know if you're interested. I'm in Ringwood, N.J. .........Tommy
  18. Those of us who fall into the world of hi-tech should take note of the importance of correct grammar. I have noticed that many who text messages & e-mail, have forgotten the "art" of capitalization. Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your uncle jack off a horse. Thank you for your cooperation.
  19. I was watching The Barrett Jackson auction tonignt, 2nd night in a row, with my Buddy "Moose". Beers and chips everywhere. BITCHING about how many cars had these HUGE ASS WHEELS, that killed the appeal of so many classic cars, and how much money they were going for.....Lot's of tears over the cars we used to have, and could have bought for peanuts . We've been neighbors 25 years. Plowed lots of snow, swung engines, fixed houses, pulled up 300 foot well pumps, etc together. He's got a '41 Chevy pickup and a '40 Chevy Master DeLuxe 2 DOOR with a 348 tri power. I'm the guy with ALL the DATSUNS. In the winter, he lights his old wood stove in the garage, and we have a beer and hotdog athon while bullshitting /screwing with cars and such. Even my 78 year old uncle Leon gets involved. On Sundays ,my son and I work on His 260Z. So ......maybe 2 or 3 close guys.......I'm Lucky. Every once and a while I see Clive and Dave,....it's been a while...I need to throw a DATSUN PARTY!!!!
  20. A better explanation. http://mypage.direct.ca/k/kdomries/testlight.html
