I am currently going through this, you will not clear with 16 inch watanabes if you use the TTT big brake kit. You need at least 10mm spacers in the front. You might have to shave the back end of the spokes if you don't want to run spacers. I am doing extended lugs and spacers. I had to run spacers in the back to clear the parking brake mod also. My rim specs are 16x9 -9 in front and 16x9 - 13 in rear iirc.

I went 16x9.0 -13, 16x9.5 -19 and do not want to use spacers. I don't think I have many options. Did you consider azc or other kits? I'm hoping apex engineering will make a compatible kit.

Update #2: The cost to machine the brackets have gone up 40% since the last time I ordered them. I'm confirming that it's the best price he can give me and I also have a friend with a CNC that I'm reaching out to. I'm not interested in raising the prices to buyers. Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.

What’s the status? I’m almost considering just backing out at this point.

Looks like r33 rotors are only good for the rear swap. I'm looking into getting some rotors made custom for this swap. If there's any interest I will try to do a group buy.

    Payment also sent. Thanks Arif.

I would be interested in this for a 5 lug set up (T3 hubs)- pending price of course.

I think  JoeK used a 5 lug hub with the brackets. He posted pictures of his set up a couple pages back.  Since we have 8 people signed up I'll start taking payments. My paypal is arifsealey@hotmail.com and please make sure you put your screen name on the payment and send as a gift or add the 3% paypal charges.  I'll update the post to ensure everyone is counted. Thanks

Payment sent. Thanks Arif. I’ll just have to find a solution to that rotors here. I may take a stab at z32 rotors since I have some around with my hubs

  5. Can you give me a measurement, and a picture? I'm curious how much of a gap there would be around the edges. Also, is it a GT grill, or a v6 grill?

Sure just give me some time, I haven't even gotten around to unboxing it yet. I got the GT grill from an 06 I believe.

  6. This is pretty cool, although I had wish you had stuck with the wrx style :I

Nonetheless keep up the good work, I'll be following the progress for my own ideas. My initial plan was to get the s30 fiberglass version and some how mate it with my r34 center console.

  7. Does anybody have any experience with these reproduction fender mounts from the Philippines?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/fender-mirrors-datsun-240z-260z-280z-toyota-ta22-te27-/140887278524?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222001%26algo%3DSIC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D4046963964964739757%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D121031052666%26

They look cheap, and I may have to do some glue magic to make them not rattle around too much, but they look fairly decent. I was considering the MSA bullet mirrors until I read here that the stem/stalk was too short to be functional. Any other suggestions for decent remanufactured/reproduction fender mount mirrors?

--Sorry to start another fender mount mirror thread, but after a few hours (off and on) I had no luck finding any info using the search tool.

    Thanks!

    Chris

Don't buy these. I bought a pair for kicks to see what they were like and I was not happy at all. They looked a lot A LOT cheaper in person. Plasticee, not too loose but just unfit for a quality Z (in my opinion). I have a genuine set of 510 SSS mirrors new only mock mounted if you want them. The real S30 mirrors have a 3cm height difference if thats not a bother as it was for me. I can't give you the mounting hardware though :) I need it.

  8. I didn't have any on the underside. The only thing under there was crud, gunk, grease, mud, rust, and more crud. Media blaster took care of those for me.

What a relief, I was worried the blasting would not take that crap off once it's time. Nonetheless, awesome job and keep us updated.
