  1. I hope someone answers this one about the lincoln motor. I want to know more. THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS OUT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I want the cold air to rearrange my hair when turned on, if you know what I mean.
  2. AW SHI!.............Not another engine combo to consider. Hey Dave,..... LOVE the "office space" Milton!!
  3. I just got finished installing a 350 crate motor in an 87 monte carlo SS (originally equiped with a 305). The lower one is used as a location for an oil pressure sending unit. The upper one you can see clean through to the flywheel. The dipstick is on the passenger side so I understand that the one I am referring to is of the later style casting. Hope this helps you in some way.
  4. I would also like to know about the metallic green car????????
  5. I went to see it opening night, and I agree with Tim. It's nice to relax and enjoy an evening at the big screen whether or not it is 100% acurate. The girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves, and I actually liked the movie. Just my 2 cents.
  6. I need to know how you guys are adhering these kits to your cars. Nuts-bolts-screws-bonding agents-chewing gum-duct tape? LOL A few step by step renditions would be useful. Thank you for your time. P.S.- I did use the search, no help again
  7. I had received a "free" set of rims from a friend that was cleaning out his garage. They were once chrome plated steel wheels that fit a chevy fullsize pickup 10 in. rear, and 8 in. front 15's. I took them to a place where I used to work. It was an industrial pipefitting/fabrication/sandblasting/painting operation for the local refineries. I got them to sandblast all four rims for me for $50, they didn't hardly charge me anything because they don't see things like that come through, it's always pipes and structures they blast and paint. Went to walmart and bought some rattle cans of primer and gloss black krylon. Primed/painted and had new tires mounted with the weights on the inside (not visible) and used chrome lugnuts. They came out so good, I don't want to get another set of rims. I always get asked where I had them "powdercoated"!!!! So you might try the phonebook for a similar place to get yours blasted.
  8. Maybe a mount is rattling loose? Had it happen to my truck (96 fullsize chevy "slightly modded" ) The motor cavitated horrendously just all of a sudden. Stopped, inspected, grabbed the tool bag, retightened, drove away.
  9. Sounds good to me!!! You'll have to put up a write-up on this one!! Doesn't it feel great to have the weights off your chest, and that feeling of completion!!! I watch your posts, so keep them coming.
  10. lol, thought I was the only one (VB catalog for swap info)
  11. I live in southern Louisiana, interstate I-10 runs through the area from east to west, there is another interstate that loops around Lake Charles (the city I live in) My girlfriend and I were taking the 210 loop a few evenings ago and a GTO flew past us like we were standing still. She mashed on the gas but the GTO was LONG GONE. I wanted so badly to be able to catch up and flash him to try and get a first hand close up look of the car (never seen one in person). I am still trying to recall the details of the car being it was a complete blur. It was a dark blue color, hardtop, had the 4 inch yellow ferrari badges on the front fenders, did not rumble so I think it might still have the inline six. Just trying to find out if it might have been a HybridZ'er passing through, if so I would like to say it was one fine a$$ car from what I saw of it ( we were in her chevy cavalier). Anyways if anyone knows who this might have been, please respond!
  12. Are you making the mounts adjustable, or did you already figure out the optimum placement for weight distribution, and driveline angle?
  13. Dude, "yourcarisslow", I hate you!!! I want to ride in it!!!!! Just picking fun, I really would like to see more of his setup.
  14. How about a wiring kit for an LT1 swap that maintains the use of the factory Z32 gauges and cruise control. Thought that would be an excellent idea, very useful.
  15. Chalk that one up for the longest post of the year.
  16. who is puting this kit together? Would a mount for the T56 be available?
  17. I would like to see a response to this question as well.
  18. The "toungue" thing was just a joke. I'm sure you guys are truely having difficulty.
  19. I'm with you sparky, I've never had that much trouble with any of my drums I've ever serviced (I'm a mechanic) including Z drums. Maybe you guys aren't holding your tongues right?
  20. cool.........................cheaper that way.....................thanks mudge
  21. sound like a bunch of women at a tupperware expo, ..........LOL just kinning around guys
  22. I have everything out of an 81 ZXT wiring, motor, etc. Everyone is telling me to use the 82-83 wiring harness and stuff, well can I still use the 81 wiring harness and just swap in the 82/83 distributor? I have seen this dizzy and it looks like the black plastic plug is the same, going to the crank sensor in the 81, and the dizzy sensor in the later.
