  5. Stock block modified to take the Neon 2.0/2.4L DOHC head. Junkyard parts. R154's can go for around $200. I've picked up a couple for $150 that were good. Greg
  6. This is proof that with the right junkyard parts... you can put together a pretty good (and inexpensive) drivetrain. Mopar 2.5L block Neon DOHC head 94-95 Dodge Dakota 2.5L bellhousing 87-92 Supra Turbo R154 5-speed http://www.turbododge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130944 Greg

  11. I've taken some pics of the junkyard Z car with the 360 motor mounts. Looks like a sectioned Dodge truck mount bolted to a stock 240Z biscuit. How simple can you get? If anyone wants a blow up of the pics (as well as some others) send me a pm with your e-mail address. The owner is not selling this car. Shame really.... Greg
  12. How about the P76 4.4L V8. Pretty torquey motor and available down your way. http://www.leylandp76.com/technical/tech-rickv8dyno.html Greg
  13. Naw Doc, the Buick 215 has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the Rover v8. Only difference in starters is the opening in the Rover block is slightly larger. A lot of other updates as well, but, they are still basically the same. http://www.roversd1.nl/sd1web/capacity3.html http://www.aluminumv8.com/index.htm Greg
  14. I beg to differ Dr Hunt, but that IS a Rover V8 (same as a Buick 215). Look closely: If it now displaces 5.3L, that's an accomplishment. It must use some pretty long stroke crank for that. In fact, if you cut down the mains on a Buick 350 crank (3.85") and drop it into a Rover 4.6L block with a 3.7" bore, you get 5.3L (331 CID). Nonetheless, that is a rover aluminum block. Greg

  22. Here's a bellhousing from an 04 Colorado pickup 3.5L I5. http://www.jeeps-offroad.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4929 This will bolt your Jeep AX15, NV3550 and 96 and later Toyota R150 as well as the Supra Turbo R154 up to a Chevy Vortec DOHC 4.2L I6, 3.5L I5 and 2.8L I4. I just got this from Todd Kozak of Kozak Automotive in PA. He's got a few more if you're interested. Contact him at: djd@acsworld.com The 4.2L makes 275 hp and 275 ft-lbs of torque N/A. Downside of this motor is the front mounted sump. There's also no flywheel for the 4200 but the 3.5L and 2.8L have them. Greg
  23. No I4 As common as dirt.... Greg
  24. That's correct. The mid-nineties Camaro-Firebirds used the Buick 3800 backed up with a Ford pattern T5. The bellhousings mounted the transmission at an angle and the starter pocket is on the drivers side. http://www.jeeps-offroad.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3258 Greg
