  1. I'm still confused on where I am going with as far as color in concerned. I might just leave it flat black or paint it one of three colors. GTR blue was my original choice and I've been throwing around the idea of dark silver metallic or dark gray metallic. At this point I'm just sitting on it though, going to get the car running exactly like I want it before I get into paint.

Next on the list is the refinement stage. I just finished up bumpsteer spacers yesterday, I'm considering moving the mounting point of the control arms up on the subframe but I'm gonna see how it feels like this first. I've gathered most of my parts for the rear CV conversion, just waiting on adapters. I ordered a heater core and blower from summit racing so I can make it through the winter lol. Also going to install my MSA seal kit, I was waiting for the paint job but im sick of the wind noise and I will buy another kit if I have too. Lastly I want to install a really good overhead light for the interior, I feel like I'm blind at night Lol.

After that I'm looking to do a turbo upgrade. Something like a gt30r, 60-1, t3/to4e, etc... anything in the 400-500hp range. I'm ready to do the upgrade right now, pretty much waiting to find a good deal so I can justify spending the money :)

Thats exactly what I'm planning for, finish all the dirty work then get on with the paint. I sure any color you choose will bring the best out of your Z.

right, I like the idea of upgrading the Z to bring it up to date.

might as well install that seal kit & replace it when you decide to paint it.

haha:-o I know what you mean about going blind at night, heres a nice trick i used. I got then bright LED clamp on lights which I must say look very cool clipped on top. I got something similar to this for 1KD =3.4$. http://www.thelightingsuperstore.co.uk/product.asp?productid=40545

before you go on with the turbo upgrade, what have you done to the engine internals & all?

  2. Great build man.

I love how super clean it looks.

About the color, since you got carbon fiber parts I suggest you go with blue.

Flat black is awesome but it just hides the carbon's affect.

I'm currently going under with an RB26 swap but its ugly & taking way too long.

It due to being in Kuwait, parts are hard to come by & ordering parts take about a month to arrive...

I admire your work though, whats next on your list?

  3. First of all I'd like to thank all of you for offering your knowledge & wisdom.

I have been wanting that F1 note in my 240Z for so long,so i dug up the internet for this, if you take out the finacial factor it very easy.

If you want F1 power & sound then just go for an F1 engine!

    http://www.engdev.com/index2.htm

Match it with a Sequential gearbox & your all set to go.

I would love to do this swap cuz i can afford it but living in Kuwait restricts me =/

I'll just stick to the RB26 for now >=D

I hope I sparked your interest.

  4. I heard from one of my friends that a guy in U.A.E did the swap TB48DE on a Z but he said it was too big in size for the Z so alotta custom work is required & he had problems with the Oil Sump. says it was too large, kinda similar with the RB26's Oil sump since the both have front diff(AWD)

I'll try to dig up pix if possible & I'll ask about the weight of the TB48DE.

But seriously the TB48 has Chaotic potential. It can be Stroked to 5.15 by Brian Crower & when Turbo charged the Nissan Patrols have been flying around the streets of Kuwait making me think twice about racing any even though I got an RB26 in my Z =p

  5. I'v been keeping an eye on this incredible Z since 2006 & I must say Henrik is an inspiration to all Z owners.

Now getting a Chopped Roof is a must for me, Im gonna try to get a "bubble roof if possible"

Thx again Henrik n I'd love to read some updates soon.

  6. I'v been thinking about a swap , Im comparing the RB26DETT with the TB48DE.

The TB is similar to the RB in Design but more updated.

heres the website we have in Kuwait

    http://nissan-me.com/English/Pages/vehicles/patrol/performance.htm

I checked the prices on the TB engines its 1200 Kuwait Dinars thats 400KD more the RB26.

I would like to do the TB swap but its too expensive for me.

but Im still considering it if I find a cheap engine
