I just recently bought a 77 280z. I'm contemplating with the research I have done so far(not much by the way, it's all kind of confusing and overwhelming) if I should keep my Z n/a or go boost. I want to make the engine strong but keep it reliable for street use as I will be using as a daily driver. As far as I can tell from what I've read, replacing the head for the MN47(most likely would get a mild port job and shave before install) would make the best numbers. My engine is EFI, should I convert to carb or is the fuel injection a better(reliable) setup? If I go boost, can I use my block and just change out the head to a P90(turbo head right? is this the best flowing head for a turbo setup?) and get the boost essentials, or do I have to do a complete engine swap? I want to keep my L series and will do research on a stroker setup after I have good enough knowledge to move on, but as for now it's one thing at a time. Any and all opinions on the subject matter will be highly appreciated. I'm a newb at this so I apologize for my ignorance on the subject, but I figure asking questions is the best way to find answers. especially since most of you out there "have been there and done that." I'm just on my way. Thanks.
