Thanks for the reply metro. I did flush out the old gas and put in new and also replaced the fuel filter. I decided to try to put gas thrue the engine manually and it did start for a few seconds. It turned on every time I did it. I got the hose from the fuel filter and tried starting it and nothing came out. Any ideas what could it be?

Just bought a 77 280z. its not running at the time. it was about 10 years ago. to me it looks all stock. im trying to get it started and the guy I bought it from said it probably just needs a new fuel pump. I took his word and bought one. it turns out it wasn't it. when I turn the key to start it and it doesn't send any fuel to engine. I unplugged the small wire from the starter and turn the key to start and I can hear the pump running. any suggestions to what could be the problem. any info will help!
