  1. I have a set of wheels that appear to be made by appliance. I found a design patent number on the backside of them, and attached is the pdf of the patent. However, I can't find any examples of wheels with the faux two piece bolt heads in them. They are 14x6, and the only other discernible markings on them are an A with a circle around it, and "1946AM".

Any insight on these would be appreciated!

  2. I just got my new wheels (16x10, 4.5" backspacing) and they stick pretty far out.  I was wondering if standard ZG flares would cover these wheels with a 245/50/16 tire.  I do not like the wider flares that I've seen.

Going by this thread, it seems like they will, since this fellow's other posts suggest that these wheels were 9.5 wide in back with 50 series tires.

Here's a picture of my car for reference.  I am NOT looking to slam the car, so I'm not worried about them being tucked all the way into the flares.  I love the way the guy who started the thread above's car looks.

  3. I have a 77 280z with a Holley 390 on an Arizona Z car manifold.  I'm chasing down an issue with a stumble during light throttle.

I know very little about carbs, but this is what I see: It appears as though moving the throttle doesn't move the cam/pump arm right away.  I've adjusted the pump linkage to .015 at WOT, and moved the orange cam to the #1 position, which should bring the accelerator pump in sooner.  I've also went up to a #31 nozzle, which eliminated the full throttle stumble.  Floats are set correctly and the car idles at 800 rpm.  Idle timing is a few degrees advanced from the factory setting.

I have noticed, however, that when the engine is cold, if I move the throttle lever, it moves the cam/pump arm right away, but it'll click after a certain point, and then goes back to not moving the cam/pump arm right away.  Is this something with the choke?  I made sure the throttle cable is tight from the pedal.

When I'm driving using light throttle, I have to let the car build up to about 2500rpm, and then I can go heavier on the throttle/punch it and have no issues.

This will all be moot soon as I just picked up an LS, but I'd like to enjoy the car this summer.   :D

  4. First, you had it right, the more negative, farther away from the suspension the wheel lip will be. Second. were are you going to find a 255 tire for 16" rims. Lastly, the Rota group buy has the perfect sizes for ZG flares.

Where is this group buy taking place?  I looked through the group buy and for sale forums, and didn't see anything.
