  1. Keep us posted, let us know how they work out.
  2. I'm assuming that's obviously the spare tire well in the first pic and the speaker panel to lay in it in the second pic? Are you moulding a box to fit the spare tire well?
  3. Whoa! That's one expensive spur of the moment decision. Hopefully they work out, i'm sure they'll look good if they fit.
  4. Bump this another time before heading down next week. Thanks for the input so far guys!
  5. This: And I agree on the ZED part. You crazy 'Murricans....
  6. It'd be interesting to hear the details of the crash from the driver, but at this point all visible indications would say the bald rear tires lost traction after getting light over the crest at speed. Not trying to speculate, I mean something could have broken or who knows what else. Good thing is it doesn't appear that there were any serious injuries or worse.
  7. Yeah those tires look like they've suffered a few too many burnouts. Hope everyone is ok, cars can be replaced.
  8. Ok, that works. I had more of the mindset this was going where the plate/tail lights are.
  9. Awesome car! If I had one it'd be exactly like this (only minus any stripes):
  10. Wayyyy too much talk about feminine hair removal products in this thread. Moving forward, i'm not sure. I mean it would look "ok" just wondering about taillight placement or if it'd be too overwhelming. What about some place more subtle like the rear edge of the hatch?
  11. Car looks fantastic! Excellent colour choice.
  12. Blakt Out: Any word on whether or not your Z will be at the show the end of March? I'm heading to it the 20th weekend and then gonna go up to the Tail of the Dragon event on the way home. Won't have the Z but it'll be fun to visit both regardless.
  13. Not a huge deal but yeah it's noticeable. Good job overall on the update though.
  14. That seems like an awful lot of work for tint....
  15. I wish all the best to you and your family and a speedy recovery.
  16. I actually agree and could see the early, mint Z's or fully restored examples going for some cash in the next decade or two. Well, look at it this way. It's one movie or trend away from being tossed into the limelight and there being a craze over it. Look what happened to the late model Toyota Supra and the Trueno AE86. The Trueno was "just a corolla" before it went popular. Mind you, I hope it never gets to that point just for the hobby's sake. But it's not unrealistic to think it could happen. I think they're priced perfectly at the moment based on the condition of the car.
  17. Someone needs to call this guy out A La "Yut Ughhhh": http://www.yutughhhh.com <-- Scroll to the bottom and watch the YouTube video if you've got a few minutes to kill.
  18. Wow. The lengths some people will go to. Maybe he needs the money cause he lost all his investments? Get rich quick scheme to re-coup after the recession?
  19. Yes far easier. You'll often find that small amounts of rust end up turning into a balls deep restoration project welding new metal to a lot of the car.
  20. Faaaaaaarrrr easier to find a relatively clean shell and toss in a functioning drivetrain. Or repair/rebuild the existing drivetrain components and L series engine. But be reasonable. It' sa 35 year old car. So unless you're shelling out $15,000+ you're not likely to find a completely flawless example of a Z. Most have rust in the floorpans, below the battery, rockers, etc. etc.
  21. I gotta get my grubby paws on one of those models! If I make a set of Enkei 92 Mesh wheels it'll match my car almost perfectly! lol!
