  1. Hi Guys,

I'm planning on doing a general overhaul to my L26 engine for my 260z 2+2 and was searching for some pistons. I've gone through the forum & saw lots of people are discussing about having an oversized piston. My question is what exactly is the advantage of having an oversized piston to that of a standard stock one. I would be considering to have a set of those oversized pistons if advantages are on its side....

    Thanks

  2. Its been more than 30 years now that the wires of the Z had been transferring electrons from one point to another... its time to give them rest & give new sets of wires to do the job...

At the moment im doing a major rebuild for the exterior body for my 1977 260Z & im planning on replacing all the wirings in it, can anyone suggest where i can get a complete set of wires as well as the fuses for the Z?

So far i can only find the heavyduty headlight wiring harness only.. Thanks for ur advice & help in advance :)

    Hi Jay28,

Ive got to admit that your Z is the best 2+2 ive ever seen. It looks so simple but smart.

Mind sharing where u got the ZG flares, Airdams as well as the rear spoilers?

I understand that your wheel for the rear is 17 x 10 -19mm offset and front 17 x 9.5 -13 offset, i have few question here

    1. Are you using coilovers?

    2. Are you using spacers?

    3. Im planning to buy ccw wheels as shown below

do you think if i buy this wheel of the same size as your wheels would fit perfectly into my 1977 260Z 2+2 with the same offset as yours i.e -19mm (rear) and -13mm (front) or different wheels needs different offsets? Im so confused regarding on offsets... please advice. Thank you..

By the way im from Brunei and here is my ride

  4. Hi everyone,

There’s been lots of pictures on the ccw classic wheels in this thread but none of them has given their full specs. Im planning to get one set of those classic ccw from http://www.ccwheel.com/files/wheelprofiles-display.php?id=Classic but need some advices from you fellow zedders.

At the moment I own a 1977 260Z 2+2, everything are still stock parts. But with the new sets of ccw classic wheels in mind im planning to convert 4 lugs to 5 lugs and change the suspension by using coilovers.

For the set of the new ccw classic wheels im planning on having:

    17 x 9 (front) with 245/40 and

    17 x 9.5 (rear) with 255-275/40.

But the problem is im not that familiar with offsets.

    So my questions would be:

    1. What would be the desirable offsets for the front & rear without rubbing the suspensions & without the wheels coming out off the arches? I want it to be a perfect fit without using any spacers.

    2. What would be the maximum lip size I can get for the front & rear? Is 3†for front & 3.5†for rear ok? Has anyone got pictures of a 3†deep lip size as well as a 3.5

    3. Since im changing the front hubs as well either from http://arizonazcar.com/strassy.html (complete roadrace strut assemblies) or http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=60_62&products_id=60 ( Aluminum 5 lug Cobra hubs! Zero Offset!) what would be the desired size of the centerbore (diameter of the center of the wheel) of the classic ccw wheels?

Im trying to avoid using flares, but if the wheels comes out of the arches, I might as well have to use one.

    This is my current Z

Im planning to follow this Z

    Appreciate your kind advices.

    Regards,
