I'm interested too!!!!!!
-
Yup, I coulda' told you that. One thing aboout them doing that though is that it may be violating the license under which the OZ guys are selling them the kits Still, that's not bad for a W/B O2! The OZ guys now have nice boxes for them and sensor connectors etc. - VERY nice! About half the price of my FJO unit too...

Dude, this is so NOT funny I'm serious, someone went to MUCH tropuble to send this to me and I received it just before going on a trip. Had the person watching our house simply done as we said and locked the pooch up or left him outside it would've been fine I am SO upset about this, I only barely got to look at them and was too stupid to make a backup copy to my HD (sigh). I'll gladly DL them from somewhere or whatever it takes to get them back. All that effort down the drain darn it!!!!
-
Oh gawd, you're not going to believe this, I am SO upset! While we were being picked up at the airport the personwho was watching our dogs and picking us up left the dogs in the house loose. Normally we crate th epuppies at least because they tend to chew - guess what the little booger chewed? Yup, the CD I had received with all of the pics on it!!!!!! I've lost the name of the guy who sent this to me, he went to a TON of trouble too If you're out there PLEASE contact me, I REALLY want to host these pics!!! IF they can be put up someplace I'll DL them from you otherwise we can work out something to get them to me yet again. I'll pay the shipping or maybe we can swap something as perhaps there are things here in the states you cannot get as easily. When I saw the CD I couldn't recall what it was but it was trashed. Some legal papers a lawyer had recently sent me were smoked too - looked like confetti I love this little puppy but he's going to be the death of me. I can only imagine what the "lawn art" is going to look at after this one. I only just tonight, 24hours later, figured out what the CD was when I went to host it up on my site and couldn't find it.

FWIW, I've got a T56 from an LT1 in my car - NO bashing required of the tunnel. All I did was push it up in there and use a prybar to gain a little clearance around the reverse switch. I obviously cut out the old trannie mounts, no biggie. I don't think a stock Datsun master will do the T56 but it's worth a shot I guess. Worse comes to worse and you need a host for the pics lemme' know - I can host.

I work with a rescue myself - macspro.org - for a different breed. We get dogs from all over the place that have been abused and more than once breeders have been shut down by Sheriff's offices and the dogs removed from the premises. Run, don't walk, to the nearest phone and get that puppy some help! It could be worse, they aren't feeding it BBs and gunpowder like one of my rescued pups but if they decide to fight the dog they may begin to abuse it like that. You might also want to try and find a Pit rescue nearby and let them know what's going on. It's unfortunate but some shelters have an early kill policy for certain breeds like Pits and Shar-Pei even though the dogs are perfectly fine if treated well Seriously, get the dog some help and you'll feel much better. Living in those conditions is a real tragedy

Yes, oil squirters on the 2JZGTE but not the GE engine. Cranks are common between them I'm told as is the block. For greater revs go for the 1JZGTE which is a 2.5liter JDM motor with twin turbos that work together not sequentially. Unfortunatly most of those are from Automatic cars but the Supra 6speed fits it and possibly the N/A 5speed. Would love to see additional 7M pics. Why don't you like your trans mount? Got any pics? Does it line up okay? More pics!
-
Use the search, it's your friend! We have at least one possibly two 7M swaps here and they've posted details here ontheir plans. I'm interested in the 1JZ swap (I drive a 2JZGTE) but since I've already swapped a SBC in my Z th echances of my doing it are slim. However I've posted links to articles on the subject and will be posting even more extensive scans of articles about it if you can wait about a week. We tend to discuss things in the forums rather than going offline that way we can always search back to it when the questions come back up in a week or two from others asking.

Am in Manassas VA which isn't far from the WV line but dunno' how far into the state you'll be...

I've made 390RWHP (uncorrected) on a MKIV intercooler. Dunno' exactly how restrictive they are but I know the end tanks can pop off on high boost runs. You canfind them all day long on SupraForums.com and ThePartsTrader.com I've got one on the shelf if you need measurements etc. but you'll have to remind me in a week (next Tuesday) as I'll be on travel to Vegas soon. There's also an aftermarket side mount intercooler out there that's supposed to be better - YMMV. Prices on the stock one should be pretty cheap since one you've taken it out I cannot imagine wanting to put it back in!

Roger, Alpha Niner! You are clear for take off!

Eh, that's just a funky shadow on the sunroof thing. We've got one of those guards on our Pathfinder. Keeps the wind out better than the stock one which is good. If air comes in that thing with windows up the damned thing pressurizes and depressurizes in such a way that it feels like your ears are going to pop! -
The LS1 Z32 project is officially underway.

Schwing! Keep us posted please -
Heh, 1.7s can be found used. Problem with them is they have to be shimmed inorder to fit right - darned bolt-down rockers!
-
WOOT! Okay guys, I've got a TON of color scans sent to me from overseas to post I've not yet done it as each scan is 5+megs in BMP format. I'll reduce these to JPEG etc. and post them ASAP. Have to travel to Vegas Tuesday so I'll try to get them up beforehand. Worse comes to to worse I'll put them up for a simple DL. WAY cool stuff IMO Anyone here from Vegas? Going to DEFCON and BlackHat
-
You're not far from me but I did a nice simple SBC swap. Would love to do something different one of these days but TIME is a big problem
-
Try using a fish tank bleeder valve If it's a MAP based EFI this will be no big deal. There are plans out there to build an MBC if you're interested I can dig them up.

http://www.neishlinmotors.com/ Yeah baby! I htink there's some things there we could use

Be aware, changing the MAF and injectors screws with your timing curve. Most Mustang guys don't seem to realize this but it's true. I ran 30lb injectors with my blower - no crappy FMU and it worked well. The timing curves in the SN95 ECU are crappy to save the transmissions if I recall. Tranny is weak in that car, 3rd gear shift forks can be bent. Don't ever powershift 5th! Ditto' what was said above for cams. I'd consider just putting on 1.7 rockers and being done with that. Oh, and someone has come out with a programmable MAF modifyer. You use a laptop to change it's output - looks like a great tuning tool IMO. Cannot recall it's name Hyland sells it, not positive it works with 5.0s though.
-
You may not even need all of that. I'd bet that a few Camaro guys have converted from MAF to SD and could tell you how. I'd chat with the LT1-Edit folks, they would know for sure.

First post: looking for prices on used lt1/ls1 w/ t56
BLKMGK replied to a topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
He's pricey but talk to him anyway - he's geared towards swaps and will make sure you get what you need from the donar car unlike some other places. I ended up going elsewhere for my trans and also ended up regretting it - it turned out to be junk. -
I wouldn't dye them. Tried that myself once before and yes it rubs off on clothes The Miata seats don't look THAT bad and if you ruin them trying this it'll suck.

Hoping to hit the dyno with the Supra this weekend, we'll see. Want to do it when it's cooler in the morning. Last time I made 390RWHP and 427ftlbs. I should be over 400 now if I can get the A/F right. It was 10:1 and below before and corked up with a crappy MAF sensor breathing hot air. The 383 in the Z without the secondaries opening was only 300RWHP Hoping to fix that with EFI sometime soon darn it. Time to turn up the boost man! How much you running now? Slap a nice MBC on it and bring it up some. Still running ceramic turbos?
-
John, is that Mallory an EFI pump? And yes, I knew about the pumps not being able to lift - hence my question. My Blu is setup pretty well on the Mustang, it's not got to struggle to prime. I wouldn't have one on the Z, it's too loud. On the Mustang it's louder than the blower! I have an Essex or Aeromotice for the Z but I may not use it, they're nearly as loud.... The Sump on the Z is pretty low but it's also easily gravity fed. Have foam in the cell too.

Couple of things... Sat 'net sucks for a few reasons. The first is that latency is about 500ms - speed of light dictates this. If you do anything "realtime" like play FPS games forget this - it will suck. 2nd, they cap you. I don't mean at a specific speed, they look at your bandwidth usage and slow you to a crawl if you DL anything big Say you want a Linux distro for instance - you'd likely get capped midway through. I've got 144K DSL. DSL is still shared just like Cable but it's not shared the same way and I do NOT have the restrictions that cable does. 3 static IPs and they onmly asked that I not run an IRC server or a P0rn site. My WEB site is hosted in my home office The guy told me that other than those few things I could do ANYTHING I want with my bandwidth "it's mine". You will NEVER hear a cable company say that because they oversell the hell out of their service Having said that - I'm considering cable in addition to my DSL. I can now finally get it and DL speeds SCREAM when it's working However I wish to keep my WEB server and mail so I'll probably pay for both of them (sigh). Watch the wireless market, it's going to start taking off and wireless 'net service would ROCK

Supposedly the Corvettes can have data pulled in the event of an accident and obviously the M3s are storing data too. Read what I said above about pulling the battery - that's not an avoidance technique that will work. The emisions techon supraforums really had some good info about that...
