If a 3.54 with a Torsen, then it's off of an 07'.
-
Torsen but an 07' is 3.54 and an 08' is a 3.9:

Has anyone used the reproduction interior pieces from classicdatsun.com? If they are good, that could be another option for getting red interior.

I ordered two Aisin WPN079 water pumps from Rock Auto last month. The impeller diameter for both measured close to 3" like some of the other members.

However, if you must, try searching for Dizeased (or something like that) on classiczcars.com. I can't recall for sure, but he might have done something similar to what you are describing (or at least stayed w the L24 block)
Here's to link to that thread:
http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-s30/42488-new-engine.html
Diseazd's engine specs:
L28 N42 block bored .040 (he's using an F54 on his 2nd build)
L24 crank and rods
L28 P79 flat-top pistons 0.040 over (ITM pistons)
P79 head shaved and shimmed .080 inches
About 9.2 to 1 C/R

Different people claim different spline counts. I have Q45 hubs and 300zxtt axles at home, I'll confirm the count this weekend and will take pics.
Here's a thread I found from another 240sx forum (says 30 spline there):
-
The Q45/Z32TT are interchangeable between vehicles. They work with either hub.
-
1 slight correction, the Q45 is a short nose R200. R230s are only from the Z32TT or Armada/QX56.
Axles are interchangeable between the Q45 and Z32TT. Q45's
Q45/Z32TT hub inside spline count is 32 (post #4 and post #41):

Arizona Z car also has a mustache bar that will work with the Q45 diff swap:

There's a company called EZ Electric Power Steering in the Netherlands that sells a complete electric power steering kit for Z cars. I't about $1500 plus shipping. See it below.

Hi Mike,
Where did you get the $1500 quote from? I contacted Robert Hall from The Driven Man in TN (thedrivenman@thedrivenman.com) as he was listed as the US contact on the site and he said the 240Z kit is $1795 + $38 shipping (to CA).

Derek, your valve cover would also look good in red like that...or in a red wrinkle finish too
