Okay cool I figured as much, and ya I need to get rid of it. The car sits outside at the moment as I have no where to go with it. I was planning on using it as a parts car, but finding a 280z equivalent to mine for a good price has been a problem. At this point I just want to get rid of it so the parts don't go to waste. I would strip it down and store the parts inside, but in my current condition I am unable to do so. So I am just going to see if I can sell it off as a whole unit. Thanks for your help, and time.

So a few weeks ago I was driving my 280z when a tree fell on the roof. It ended up twisting the frame and crushing the roof. I was knocked out instantly causing me to drive off the road through some brush. To get me out of the car they had to cut the roof off. I was looking to replace her with a different 280z and use her as a parts car. I just cant seem to get the money together, so I have decided to sell her off to someone who can put the parts to use. Just don't know what to sell her for, I was thinking $1500 without wheels and hood (keeping because of sentimental value). Im not really sure whats all bad on it, just know the basics and am just curious to what you guys think. The Bad: lower valance destroyed along with BRE air dam roof ruined windows all smashed rear hatch has been cut through damage to right front suspension (not sure what it is, but wheel is pushed into the fender assuming there is damage to the rest of the front end as the 240z bumper seems to hang lower then it used to right front body panel is dented, I am pretty sure that is the only one I believe that to be the only damage, but there could be more. The car has the standard 2.8L Inline 6 with the 4 speed manual. Interior is in relatively good shape, and I believe most of the suspension is in good shape. I dont have much for pictures as I am in a neckbrace, but will try to provide more pictures. Thanks for your help.

So I like to slide around in the rain, and corner fast. Do I need to worry about damaging my frame? I just wanted to be sure cause sometimes when I'll come out of a drift kinda rough and end up fish tailing it. It just seems like that could damage something and I just wanted to see what some experts think so I don't end up ruining my car. Is there anything that could strengthen the frame also so my hooning wont cause damage? My 280z is pretty much stock except for wheels and lowering springs.

Ok guys here is where I am at. I have decided to do all the work to my car myself vs paying a mechanic money to do it. I am planning on replacing the struts, springs, and front studs. Is this a hard job for a beginner? Also in relation with the wheels. I jacked the car up tonight and slid the front wheel on to see how much clearance I would have and it was next to nothing. Will this get better once I set the car down (Dont have new nuts or studs yet, so I couldnt set it down)? Oh and the rear wheel clears fine. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Q64Xk2VqjoR21VSTRxMk5KdEk/view?usp=sharing There seems to also be a lot of fender gap on the rear wheel. So I am assuming it will be a problem in the front. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Q64Xk2VqjocXl4ejF6ZFI5Qk0/view?usp=sharing I know lowering the car an inch hoping it will help, so I was looking at getting some lowering springs as I can not afford coilovers. Would lowering the car an inch cause any problems? Would I get more clearance in the front from doing it? Would this strut and spring set up work? I already purchased the struts from Autozone, but can still return them. Could you point me in the direction of what kind of wheel nuts I need? I found these, my mechanic told me that I needed new cone shape ones. http://www.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/wheel-nut/mc-gard-wheel-nut/nissan-datsun/280z/1977/6-cylinders-h-2-8l-fi/433985_948267_23747_115429_142830/ http://www.ebay.com/itm/331090266040?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D331090266040%26_rdc%3D1

I have had my 77 280z for over a year now and it ran great throughout last summer and it started in winter fine. Now because spring has rolled around the fuel pump decided it wanted to stop working. Now I literally am lost on what to do. Fuel delivery systems are not my cup of tea. Could anyone help me out? Notes: Last summer the car would periodically shut off on me and I would have to unplug the two fuel relays under the drive side dash to the left. I would then let it sit for a bit and plug them back in. The car would then start up and drive fine. It started up and ran good through winter and early spring. I had it running early spring, took it for a short drive down the road, came home and parked it. Ever since then though the fuel pump does not turn on. When I turn the key over I can't hear it running.
