  1. Thanks for the link to the part numbers - very helpful. Its good to know those are still available. I'd still like to know if Mitsu / Nissan used the exact same parts for those pieces (I kow Mitsu used a version of the trans in their old truck). The parts look OK for wear, just want to confirm if they are correct dimensions so I don't have to buy new to put this back together. While I'd like to switch over to a newer ZX trans (actually have a BW 5 spd already), race rules dictate stock. If fiber ring is NLA anywhere, then changing to a superseded synchro part/assembly is something I can do. Ratios need to stay stock.
  2. Just put my new race car build ('77 w/5spd) on track the other weekend, supposedly "good" drivetrain happened to have issues with 5th gear, reverse, shift lever, leaking, etc. After a bunch of research on here and the various other incorrect vehicle assembly issues I've discovered from the PO, I opted to do a full rebuild. Upon inspecting the 5th gear synchro pack (black fiber style), I found these parts inside that synchro pack. The Thrust blocks both have a symbol that looks a whole lot like the MItsubishi symbol. Is that symbol normal for this part and it isn't actually Mitsu? Is this a compatible small part swap? Or was this a part that looked about right that someone threw in there, which may have some impact on the lack of 5th gear? This leads me to another question that I have not been able to find searching here or google - are there any cross-car/company part exchanges that work? Are those pieces even available anymore if I want to put Nissan OE stuff back in?
  3. ^zentech, no PM in my inbox from you, and system indicated you cannot receive PMs either. Shoot me an email with asking price and pics - benschaut at hotmail.com
  4. I've searched on a way to do just that, but haven't found anything on this site or on the great Google. I'd MUCH rather have it setup with a couple of basic cheap relays. Looking at the EFI relay, its a mess in there with wires crossing between the 2 sets of pins and a few resistors and diodes added in for good measure. If someone has a link to how to set that up, post it up!
  5. Help a racer out - I am in need of a EFI relay. The 11 pin hard-to-find one. All FSM / wiring / EFI bible and physical part checks are pointing to a faulty injector side in my relay. Removing cover shows a burned resistor and what looks like burnt injector side coil. Manually holding that contact closed allows the car to start/run. If you have one that you know is in working order and are willing to sell for a reasonable price to help get my car on track, shoot me a PM with how much you want shipped to 48382. Major bonus if you are in Detroit area and I can pick it up so that I have a running car for a hopeful test day at Gingerman this weekend. Thanks Ben
