I have an 83 with sportmax xxr 002's. I am looking to put tokico hpk255 struts and 1" lowering springs on it. And polyurethane bushings. I have been hearing that I would have issues doing the poly bushings with the stock running gear.
Will I need to upgrade anything else when doing these mods to avoid breaking anything?

So it is pretty cold here in Central Oregon. I drive an '83 280zx non turbo. I am not great mechanically with cars. But I do work on bikes a bit. When cold the car seems to be running rich. Having to warm the car up is killing my gas mileage. When I start it up it makes a huge exhaust cloud until it is driven and cleared out. If anyone has any incite I would appreciate it.

Been thinking of hitching up a small aluminum trailer with my three vintage dirt bikes in it, and tent and all that other good stuff in the back, and take it racing, rather then a mini van. That's in the future though. Go ahead and yell at me for wanting to put a hitch on my 280zx.

I'm 6' 255 and I fit in my friends 260z and my 280zx. And I have a friend who is 6' 3" or 6' 4" 225 and he fits in my 280zx

Definitely a scam. When a potential buy uses words like product and item to talk about the car your selling instead of saying 280zx, it means this is just a general email that this person sends to lots of people selling stuff. They send their shipping agent to pick it up and then they don't pay you.

The paint code is 013 T. It is the same color as my 1983 280zx that I got repainted the stock color. Which of course is regatta red.

I am 17 years old. I got my 1983 280zx when I was 15. My dad had a 260z back in the day and my mom had a z31. I was looking at toyota tacoma's for a vehicle. Then my dad said don't you want a zcar? I was like you would let me have a zcar. And so I looked at s30's and almost bought a 1978 280z 2+2, but didn't get it. And I ended up with my 1983 280zx coupe non turbo.

Well when money allows, a new stereo and speakers, 16" Konig Rewinds, lowering springs, and maybe eventually a headlight upgrade and smoked headlight covers. We will see. For now just enjoying it. Thanks for the comments guys.

New paint, haven't waxed it or put the fender and hatch emblems back on.

You should get some smoked headlight covers if your going to make it all black.

Uh, well we will see when money presents itself. lol I defintely want to do some mild suspension upgrades, 16" Konig Rewinds(or anything I come across that I like and can afford), nothing mechanically really, no outrageous plans, it runs and drives perfect so I'm currently just enjoying it. It is my first car and it has been really reliable.

I have a 1983 280zx N/A coupe. Currently getting repainted. Can't see in the pics but the car has clear coat peeling issues all over. This paint is not original.

Automatic Antenna
in S130 Series - 280ZX

Hi there. My 83zx non turbo coupe had its antenna ripped off while I was in Boise being chased by yellow Mitsubishi Lancers haha. When I bought the car it had a standard antenna. I am trying to install a aftermarket automatic antenna. I cannot figure out how to wire it up. It comes with three wires, a red, white, and black. If I put the red and white to the positive terminal on the battery and the black to the negative the antenna goes up. That is the only progress I have made. I am a complete novice at wiring. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get it wired up.
