  1. To offset the cost of my conversion i will probably charge a nominal fee for the info, but i will also be producing the crossmember piece that is integral in the conversion process. I am still working on pricing for the crossmember. I may also fab up some of the other parts i used in making the conversion possible. I just need to do some painting on my crossmember and i'll run the beast! I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes.
  2. Yesterday, I test fit the LS1 and some interesting notes on the project. I am using my 1pc Powertrain Ind aluminum driveshaft from my Z32 in the conversion. I fabed it so that i could just use the yoke from an LS1 driveshaft. It works very well! As far as engine placement in the engine bay, With the stock driveshaft lenth, you still have to cut the tranny tunnel in order to widen it for the 4L60E tranny to fit. But, you also have interference with the LS1 oil pan and the crossmember/steering rack. SO the easy route would be to pick up a Holden oil pan. (Which is what i'm doing). I will also be using the stock LS1 motor mounts and will fab up a mounting plate that will bolt up to the stock Z32 crossmember. So far, so good! I will start wiring everything up while I am waiting for the new oil pan. Wish me luck!
  3. course" jk. I imagine they will fit, but it will be tight. I dont want to have to go out and buy different headers to see if they fit either! Not good!
  4. Just wondering if i can stick with this rout for now..or if i will need to get aftermarket headers. I heard Hooker headers make conversion headers but I'm not sure if they make them for the Z32
  5. 200 plus shipping... never had to deal with australian oil pans....so i presume this is a decent price?
  6. problem, Do you know if there are any oil pans that summit would sell that would suffice? (I am guessing i will just have to see once the LS1 arrives)
  7. Well, tomorrow i'll be pulling my VG motor and shipping it off. I have heard things about the rocker arms of the LS1...would it be worth it to replace now while the LS1 is out? I will be taking plenty of pics and i'll document everything. Any last minute advice?! :0)
  8. 550lbs. I just shipped my motor and they had to weigh it for shipping costs.
