  1. also it says to source the calipers complete with hangars. what are they so i know if i need to find some or not
  2. i just bought a rear disk conversion from modern-motorsports and then bought a set of "89" calipers and after i put the bracket and rotor on i went to put the calipers on but they would not fit because the bottom part of the housing on the caliper was too big and wouldn't fit. I wasn't sure if O'reily's sent me the wrong calipers but after searching i saw that they are different than the ones that are shown in other forums as well as on the MM site. it says on the site that 89-94 are the calipers that fit. in a forum about disk coversions on here it said 90-94. but the ones i recieved arent the same. any information would be great! thanx

  7. I'll go by the shop today and get the VIN, but sorry boys cause I told dad I wouldn't sell it. But it's been garaged since 88 and when I took the valve cover off the top it looked brand new. The first thing I'm doing is finishing the rear disk conversion. I am gonna get it running first then decide what I'm ultimately gonna do. The only things not stock are the headers and street cam in it and the mini light wheels. Also I've grown up around road racing so I very much so understand power to weight. And it will get this car to 300. I don't care about restos or it being a "collector piece" but how much would it go for out of curiousity. Btw it's in immaculate shape and documented well
  8. thanx for the advice but i might have found what i'm looking for. Is a l28et with p90 heads and a f54 block with wiring in good shape for 700 a solid deal. Also me being a newb and all i do have my dad and his boys who are all extremely good mechanics and drivers. They are what will be my bridge for getting this done quickly. Also where are some good sites for find good turbo upgrades for a good price. as much as price is important getting the "right" part is even more important.

  12. I can see how that would be true because i don't see many of them turbo'd like i would like it. But thats just another reason to do it. It has a street cam and headers that my dad put on when he was driving it.
  13. thats pretty much what i was thinking from searching yesterday because every turbo swap or upgrade was on a L28et. where could i start looking to find a good one. There aren't any good junkyards around here. And i am a very new kid to the building world. As i am in school and have a job plus a sport i don't exactly have the extra hours in the day to search. I spent my only time yesterday doing that and learned alot but no one really came out and said what was the best way to go as far as bang for your buck is concerned. I do understand that it is annoying to see some new kid asking the same questions as every new person before them. I just don't have the luxury of time to spend searching the forums as much as i really want to. Thank you for your time as well. Isn't the zx motor a v6 though? I want to stick with an inline and where would a good place to find possible sr's or even an RB?
