Hi I am wondering if anyone would be willing to do a pre purchase inspection, or know someone that does them in Bakersfield. Also I would like to know the average cost of a PPI.

Anyone? I'm trying to work over the weekend. My mechanic said it might be the fuel tank. It doesn't get rev when it's "on" and I put my foot to the floor. He thinks it might be because it has no pressure or air is getting in. Anything helps.

Ok so first off, some background info, when I got the car the PO said that the gas tank wouldn't fill up past half because of something loose. I also drove it 2 hours home. I had it in the shop and when I got it back, I would get on the gas and it wouldn't pass 3.5k rpm, I would try to floor it and it would just backfire like crazy. After awhile the radiator exploded. It went back to the shop and the mechanic put in the new radioactive and now the car doesn't even start. He though it was a bad distributor so he replaced it, that didn't fix it so he put my old one back on. I have some videos of the problem and some photos
Car has a L28e from a 75ish 280z 5 speed

Looks like a later 240z with a 280zx turbo (at least valve cover and injector cooler fan) motor. 280z hood or at least vents.
It was painted later, quite poorly given they didn't take 2 seconds to cover up the courtesy light or bag it up. The mirror and stuff chipping like that shows low prep, unfortunately that also means it is going to hide a lot of imperfections. I would definitely take a body magnet and look for bondo
Evidence of rust in the slam panel, doors, and what looks to be fenders.
I feel like you should be able to do better in california. That is not the best condition car, so I'm with neverdone, how bad is your car that this looks like a good idea?
I got my car at the time because I thought it was a good solid car, now looking back at it I should have waited and not jumped the gun. I think the car has been repainted. These photos are old but the body is still in the same condition, I have since bought T3 front and rear brakes. My mechanic has put in a new radiator, starter, ignition switch, distributor, and "ignition coil?" and more things. I am thinking now I’m already down a lot of money and don’t know what to do next. I am thinking of posting on the new members once I get my car back from the shop and I can post better pictures of it.

So this guy on craigslist is asking 6K on craigslist and I am wondering what you guys honestly think i should offer, i have a 73 240z that i am thinking of parting out and selling and want a car with a better shell. tell me if you think this is a good buy.

I was wondering if there is a simple way to make this part straight again. i don't know what it is called but it is circled in white. anyone have any tips on what to do.

What's the problem with the current harness? If it's only with the socket on the bulb side, those are readily available and you would just need to cut and splice the one end. I haven't seen many of the datsun harness connectors available so you might have a tough time finding the other end
The problem is that I don't have the whole connection. I have the passenger side but not the drivers side.

I am wondering where I can find a replacement part for this. I need a new one.
i need only the whole wiring, the black thing that plugs into the headlight and the white thing that plugs into the harness. I've tried looking at zcardepot and MSA but I might have missed it.

I have taken apart my door and I need these pieces. For the key cylinder I only need the plastic piece. Does anyone know where I can find just the plastic piece.
Also for the door lock rod clip does anyone know where to buy one or can I just use a generic one?
