Surfer.tech,
Please post how the exhaust and headers fit along with pics of the system once you get it. I've been leaning toward ordering a Kakimoto Hyper 80-R system and even found a Kakimoto Racing dealer in Canada that can order it for me. But I may have to reconsider the Fujitsubo system after finding out the header may fit LHD S30s.

update for you fellas, from the nisei car show in LA this past summer,
Definitely on of my top 3 favorite Z's on here. Please post more pics!!!
-
I've been considering this ZG color also so I'm very interested to see if anybody can post up a correct paint match.

Just wanted to give everybody a heads up... I was able to pick up this week a set of 8 D-sided bolts PN 38228-21000 for the side axles. Got them at $2.83 ea from Rosenthal Nissan in Vienna, VA.

I checked a few months ago and you still can buy the Nissan Comp pan and gasket...$$$$$$
EvilC,
How much you were quoted for a Nissan Comp pan and who still carries it? I was unsuccessful trying to find the cost on the Courtesy Nissan website.

gmac708,
That will be an awesome beast when it's done!!! Don't mean to take this thread off topic but 2 questions for you: did you need a spacer for the fronts with the -13 offset, if so what size spacer? And is that the Kameari seat you have installed?
-
Thanks 240Z. Did 99996-E1130 supersede 99996-E1131?
-
Anybody know the PN for the pan?

RIght this very second, it's 345pm in Narita's Star Gold Lounge, but in several more hours I will be landing in LAX (about 8 hours before I left according to the clock) and can take some snappies of the Comp Pan I just bought off e-bay. The windage tray is pretty straightforward. Hell, I'll even put a ruler into the photo so you can scale it in your forgery attempts! LOL
So you are the lucky winner of the pan on eBay about 2-3 weeks ago.

Pics look great. Can't wait till the axle stubs are available.

The Craigslist Ad was apparently kosher, BTW. Head was sold. Even if it was only a run of the mill NEW head...that's not a darned bad starting point for a NEW never corroded L-Head I guess...
I would have paid $850 for a NEW head unseen, before I paid $1000 for a Used 60K mile head with no cam towers!
Well, he is in your neck of the woods Tony D. I'm so jealous of you guys on the West Coast, so many deals to be had on craigslist vs what's for sale on the east coast.
-
I figured that since he is selling it for $850, it can't be a real FIA head which would probably worth several thousand $.
I've searched for more info on the FIA heads and only found the post with HS30-H's pics of the FIA L6 Safari head. Seems there is not a lot of info available on these FIA heads.
By the way, thanks for your response Tony D. I have been lurking on the site for a while and always find your posts, along with posts from others, very informative.

So I'm browsing through the West Coast craigslist ads and I see this:
"A brand new L-6 series racing head for 240/260 series motors. This is a factory competition cast head with smaller combustion chamber & larger ports. Last of these heads to be imported into US by Nissan Competition (NISMO) Purchased out of stock in 1996. Not available anywhere. Never mounted, bare head, in box. Those Datsun collectors will know what this part is worth. Paid $1,200 for head, as I was a Nissan racer out of the Electramotive shop."
Unfortunately he didn't post any pics or any info regarding the casting number. I don't remember ever seeing a Nissan factory comp. head for the L6 listed in the old Datsun Comp. catalogs. Wasn't the LY head the only factory race cylinder head made by Nissan for the L6?
On a another note, post # 1 for me.

I'll be interested in a set when they become available.
Any info on this car?

Looking at the steps in the wheel lips it looks like he is running different offsets front vs rear
