forgive me for my ignorance on this hence I've never rebuilt this motor before and it being my first rebuild. I turned my motor over the other day about to take the rods and pistons out then i noticed those two spots on the crank where it looks like its been chipped. this is the factory crank so are those spots where the crank has been balanced at?

do you still have the top one? how much?

Yea i loosened the nut to get the pulley off. The bearing came out no problem. I marked in red the part I was trying to pull off; The part the bearing slides onto. the smaller circle just shows where its damaged. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

ok. ya the bracket is wrong but the sliding piece which holds the bearing/pulley would probably work. I'm assuming those can be removed. Mine won't budge. Do you have any other pics of the top one?

I've been limited on funds since I bought this but things should pick up now in the next few weeks or so with my new job. Here's some progress pics from when I bought it to now. Plan on puttin a big block in here shooting for 500hp goal at least. I didn't/don't have the funds to get it blasted at a shop so manual labor it is.
