Thanks for your response. I saw similar things about needing to re-drill for a push type clutch, but I am not even sure this is strictly necessary (if you are OK with running the pull. My RB26 came with a pull type clutch anyways on the GTR/AWD gearbox. My understanding (that I am hoping to confirm here) is that the R34 NEO RB25 5 speed wouldn't be much adapting at all. It might just bolt right up (bell housing side) and need a custom cross member mount, and that's really it? But I was hoping someone could confirm if it fits the tunnel, etc.

Hello all, First, I'd like to say thanks to all of the members of HybridZ, I've been reading and searching for months now, and very much appreciate all of the knowledge on this forum! I have one specific question that I wasn't able to find an answer to in my searching. It seems that Nissan still makes the RB25DET NEO gearbox for the R34 - Part number 32010-AA520. Has anyone successfully used this gearbox in an RB26/S30 swap? I saw many mentions on this site of using the R33 version of this box, but wasn't sure if there are any specific differences on the 34 Neo version other than push/pull clutch? I assume either clutch config would work. I was unsure if there are any physical case size differences, or if the shifter will land in the correct place. I have a 1973 Z, so I know I will need to modify the trans cross member ears in the tunnel, but that's all I am currently expecting for fitment (other than custom driveshaft). Thanks all! 73Z
