  1.

Ok I have been busy on the concept, and this is the 1.0 version or MK2 for us car lovers!

    www.beemyguest.fr

This is really an opportunity to share our love of cars, bikes, planes, football, baseball, whatever... It's not a motel's cheap alternative nor a low-cost option for your next vacation. It's to start a real network of reliables crash spots for enthusiasts. You don't have to go over to Europe to enjoy it! You can use it for X-America trips. Let say you want to go to the Indy 500, wouldn't it be better to go with a real Indyan, and let him share it's love of his city and show you around Indianapolis like you never could do on your own? The sole commitment would be to invite him back to say sunny California where you're from and go together to Laguna Seca for a vintage race!!!!

Please help me building this network, it will be profitable for all of us, gearheads! Or at leas share your comments with me to refine even more my site!

  2. Does anyone have any interest in owning one of those "280zx turbo" tail light panels? One came uninstalled with my 280 complete with I believe one bulb missing but I dont have any use for it... any reasonable offer including shipping and I would appreciate getting it out of my living room.

    Yes please PM sent

  3. Hi all. Boomer's the name. I have been around Z most of my adult life (I started dating my first 240Z in 1984  ) and I enjoy nothing more than our little community! Check my status I am not here for a quicky ;)

I am always on the move and I have way too many project on the run, yet I took some time with my wife to see if we could do something to end up in a better world and offer you (us) an other way of doing things.

As a Datsun fan I had numerous opportunity to invite fan from all over Europe and meet hardcore enthusiast in the US each of my visits. Why not provide a platform for doing just that, but on a larger scale and for all sort of passions. I am sure some of you did the same, hosting friends or just Forum relatives for the time of a car show or just to have a project finsished (or started). I ma the only one???

12 month ago I said, let's do it! Today I am proud to present you my beta version of www.Beemyguest.fr It's made with my humbles ressources and I will (want anyway) implements lotta nice options. Please tell me what you think of this idea, what and how you understand it, and above all would you like to join? It's free until september. We need a lot of offers to get this thing going.

  4. About the plenum, the ports are radiused from the outside > in. Not like an air horn, just the opposite. Any Jap infamous trick there?

This set-up is very tricky indeed...

  5. Thank's TonyD, yep those are tho one from Japan. No marking on any of them... I cannot find any definite pict of a HKS ITB from that era on the web. From what I remember, the last HKS I had in my hands had a center spring set-up in between the 2 barrels. This on have a lateral spring (missing on this one) and no depression pickup on the ITB. Peculiear thing

I will mount the TPS on the last one. They are 44, the Cannon manifold is 40/41 and the Plenum more like 38. As it's on my bench should I port match all to 44 or size down the ITB to 40  for the P90... the other head was cracked.

  6. Hello, I am running a custom FI system.

    2 GM injectors

    minitbiinjector.th.jpg

All wired to a GM Control Moduletbiecm.th.jpg

With Map, water temp, O2, tps sensors all in place. The car is working fine but lack tuning ability. I am thinking of going Megasquirt my question is: is it a plugin into the GM harness module? Do I have to redo the harness :(?

That is # one of a long series of questions to come :)

  7. Vos voitures sont tres jolies!!

Are the S30 Zs hard to find in France?

Est-ce que les S30 Zs 'a trouver dur en France?? [haha I'm no good at this >_<]

Hell no, as long as you buy them in the US...

Mine is a 1972 californian dentist's wify car I guess. It came with an auto box and aircon

The other 2 are also coming from the states when I think of it

They are very hard to find, but they become very popular in classic rallying.

  8. That depends. How hard do you run it before you let it get to operating temp? Did you ever at any point lose oil pressure?

Which damper are you running? Most engines tend to wear hard on the bearings as the damper starts to let go.

    Damper? Engine or suspension?

Engine, Euro 2 row good nick, I will check :(

    Suspension, 4 coil-over LEDA's the brand 100% top shape

  9. Spa, now u'r talkin... What a track

One of the finest track in my all time favorite European circuits after Dijon (French Watkins Glen) and Charade.

The cam is OK... but I could use more with this injection set-up I think. Can't really tell 'cause nobody have been there before

That's why I share this with you guys here on the most open minded Z forum.

  10. Braap, I was under this impression, now it's confirmed, thanks.

I think the next logical step would be Magasquirt to have the hand on the fueling.

As for the fuel pressure, I picked up some HP going from 12 to 20 psi. Now I am limited by the spring of the Aeromotive regulator. I will try the beefier one to see how it goes around 22/23?
