My cart is similar to yours. I got it free from work but I did have to put new casters on it.
My tank is taller than yours so I cut a hole in the top shelf and set the tank through the hole. No problems with the tank tipping over. I sliced a piece of fuel line and put on the edge of the hole to cussion the tank.
I put my welder on top and use the bottom for storage.

Hi Grumpy,
I have two questions for you.
First, my harmonic balancer is too big (8") and hits the steering rack and I need to get a smaller one. I do not know if the engine is internally or externally balanced. I also don't know how to tell the difference. Any recomendations on a balancer to use???
Second, I do not have a water pump or alternator or any pulleys or barackets on the front of the engine and will need to obtain them somewhere. Does it make any differnece if I use a long neck or short neck water pump as long as the pulleys line up correctly???

I agree that there is just something wrong with lambo doors on a z car.
If the doors are that bad you could weld them shut and climb in through the hatch.
Just imagine a car with no door seam. It would smooth up the whole side of the car and improve the aerodynamics.

I have always liked the wide bodies but thought the cab looks too narrow for really wide flares. Widening the whole car would be a neat solution to that.
Too much work for me to get into but I would like to see one done.
How about chopping the top while you are at it???? Though with it being widened it may look like the top was chopped when done?!?!?!?!
If you are going to do a complete new suspension anyway maybe you could make it wide enough to fit an un-narrowed corvette suspension.
With the glass, you may try to find a windshield that is close and fit the width around the glass. Otherwise you may end up with really wide pillars or some goofy looking windshield insallation. I think the windshield would be the biggest problem.

I just finished watching Southland Tales and it left me scratching my head - I completely did not get it. I did laugh at a lot of the random bits - some of the acting and script is so goofy I couldn't help but laugh.
I Am Legend was not as good as the one with Vincent Price, I think it was called Last Man On Earth????
I haven't seen a good movie for quite a while.

With everything going "Retro" there needs to be a retro S30 - since Nissan didn't do it with the 350z.
I think the hardtop Solstice looks good.

I don't know about you guys, but I think it was realllly brave of that first guy to throw himself under his car to and high center it to prevent it from going into the crowd and hurting someone:)
All joking aside, I did like the Subaru trying out the snowboarding - impressive.

I drove my first Z in snow deep enough to drag on the bottom of the car. It was not a problem because it was all new snow and it had not iced up on the pavement yet. I was pretty concerned about it at first but once I got going and got the feel of it - it was easy to drive in.
It was the next day, after freezing all night, that it was really bad. Just drive slower, brake earlier and turn into the slides and it is not too bad.
I also drove from Reno to Fallon then out to Wabuska (sp) then down to Hawthorn and back up to Reno in a big snow storm and the fender wells filled up with snow. It gave very little clearance between the tire and the snow. Not good when you hit a bid bump!!!
Fun trip though, I like driving in bad weather.

The late Bill Harrah who owen the Harrah's casino in Reno has a huge car collection at one time. It filled multiple warehouses and took hours to look at. Most of it was sold off after he died and is now just a small museum in downtown Reno. His collection was not so much the exotic cars but he did have a lot of variety, including race cars, jeeps and even some airplanes. In the Ford section he would have every car and variant for years in a row.
I don't know if it is really comparable to what Jay Leno has going but it was very impressive.

http://x-victory.ru/forum/index.phpI am just getting back into RC. I used to fly gliders almost every weekend with a club when I lived in Las Vegas. I mostly stayed with a "gentle lady", a
"2x4" and my hand launch "skeeter". I stuck with those planes mostly for financial reasons and I never broke them bad enough to have to replace them. I had a lot of fun getting 45 minute flights with the skeeter.
That was 10-15 years ago and now I am getting into the electrics because, to me, it is a lot less hassle than gas power. (not as loud and not as messy) I still like gliders but don't have them any more and I always wanted to fly power planes.
I am working my way up to ailerons - I never flew aileron plans when flying gliders, just elevator and rudder.
I find that the planes are not all that expensive - it is all the other "stuff" that you need that gets expensive.
Flying is a lot of fun and even relaxing with a slow plane.

I took the front suspension off the car and found that the holes on one side for the lower control arm are out of round.
What is the correct way to repair this? I am thinking that I can weld just the out of round part to add some material there and then drill it back to round. Or, is it more correct to weld up the whole hole and redrill the hole???

I am really glad you posted that video. I had only seen pictures of those cars before but the video, the sound, and even the dancing adds a whole extra something to the experience.
The cars with the patio on the front are really nice, all they need is a deck chair and a habachi.
The full grown Dub City cars are kind of ........morbidly curious. Would make the daily commute interesting.

I like the look of Camaro's on there stock form so the body will stay stock - the engine in it is a freshly built chevy 350 and is pretty strong. That will remain until it wears out (or blows up).
Right now I am working out what to do with the suspension - I want to upgrade it but there are so many options that it is hard to decide. The brakes are another area that has lots of options. I've only had the car for about 2 months and I still have a lot of learning to do about it.
I think it will eventually morph into a pro touring vehicle.
I am not concerned about resale value or being original, they made a truckload of these things, especially compared to z cars, and mine is nothing special. It is not an SS, RS or Z28 so there is no need to keep it original.
