  1. Hi

Thank you for sharing. This shirt actually looks better then the Blipshift version, which was obviously a cut and paste job.

I'm  not sure if this is technically a hijack, but you might find the following shirt interesting as well.

We only need 15 to get them made...

Has any one actually ordered from this site before, I am just wondering about the print quality.

  2. You likely got one of the made in china re-cast calipers that parts chains sell as "remanufactured", so quality will be hit or miss, try exchanging it with another first.

Hi Sorry for the thread segway.

I have never heard of recast calipers.

How would you know if they are genuine castings or recasts. do they have different markings or are they obviously badly cast?

Are there specific brands that are known for carrying recasts.

For some constuctive help how about if you had your spacers turned down the .75mm/.030"

It should center your caliper again. I think you will run into the same issue the next time the caliper has to be replaced.

  3. Hi

Your paint supplier should be able to mix any modern brand of paint to your specified colour, it shouldn't matter if it originally had lead in it, as you are not using the OEM supplied paint.

Don't want to hijack this thread but the information might be useful to the OP as well.

Does anybody know what the paint code is for the bumpers and lower valence on the ZG

I had the information a very long time ago, but have since lost it.

I remember Alan Thomas saying A BMW Anthracite was a very close match,

but I don't remember the paint code.

    Thanks,

    Ahmed.

  4. I dumped my motorcycle a couple of years back, and the only damage was from the handle bar swinging around, leaving a dent in the side of my gas tank as I fell over. I had a custom paint job and didn't want to have it colour matched as the paint still looked mint. I had a place called Dent Doctor here in Toronto pull the dent out. I basically removed the gas tank emptied out all the gas and took it in. The technician went in through the gas filler opening and had to work around the baffle inside the tank. It looked perfect when he was done, and only cost me a hundred bucks.

  5. I've seen some installation videos on YouTube, since I first posted this thread. It looks like the material is very pliable and should conform to the shape of the dash very well with the aid of a heat gun. I am in the process of filling the cracks in my dash with a bumper repair kit, as described in another thread, only instead of using the textured paint as a final finish, I will be using the DI-NOC.

  6. Hi just wondering if anyone has any experience with 3m Dinoc

I'm thinking about using it to recover my dash.

Do you know if it is pliable enough to form around the gauges

It's very common in fake carbon fiber but it is available in black leather.

  7. we tapped the lugs in, then hit it with a BIG hammer, and after that the drums practically fell off.

Hi, I just removed the drums on my z over the week end.

What I did was, knock the wheel studs in all the way, as instructed above credit to Lucifersam for the idea.

Then I used a hammer to tap around the front outside edge of the drum, until I could see a small gap starting to form about half way inside the hole, that the wheel studs used to be located in.

When this line formed I sprayed some penetrating oil in the gaps, while rotating the drum, and left it for a few hours.

I then came back and tapped the drum off from the back edge of the fins, straight in an outward direction making sure to tap on opposite sides of the drum for each whack.

    Hope it helps,

    Ahmed.

BTW. It's a Canadian car no one took care of, so you can imagine the rust.

  8. TTT favorite place ever.

    *the more you know*

TTT does not actually stock them and gets them from konig directly when an order is placed

He is in the same boat as I am. I have already checked with him

Thanks for this link I have sent them an E-mail so will soon know if they actually have

the wheels, or if they have to order them from konig as well

    Ahmed

Do you guys have any other leads.

I know a lot of the AE86 guys use these wheels

    Ahmed

I just heard back from jlbmotorsports.com

They don't keep them in stock same situation as TTT

  9. Dont know if this helps but there is a guy on Ebay selling lines for the

86 NISSAN MAXIMA CALIPERS and 1982 NISSAN 280ZX REAR BRAKE ROTOR set up. for $45.00 a set

Its worth checking out to see if they will work on the 240sx setup.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but does anyone know if I can use these same lines for the front 4x4 vented toyota setup on a 240z.

    Thanks

    Ahmed

  10. If they're basicly solid, I'd take them to a wheel shop and have them re-drill so they're an 8 hole style, fitting both 100 and 114 patterns, rather than make the 100 holes wonky

    I agree

If the rims really are solid and have no pockets on the backside, just take them to a machine shop and have them redrill the proper bolt pattern 45 degrees from the original bolt pattern. It is a very simple job, and should not cost much.

    Ahmed.
