  1. Also, if a polyester resin is used to make the carbon fiber part the resin itself will yellow and crack when exposed to ultraviolet light. Polyester resin is used for fiberglass parts. Epoxy resin is used for carbon fiber parts but some cheap composite shops use polyester when they work with carbon fiber.

Thanks for the clarification, John. The reason I mentioned this was because I was interested in buying a CF hood awhile back and the products that I had seen used a polyester resin. So they didn't do to well in the sun. As long as your product doesn't use this then I'm all for it. By, paint over it, I should have asked If it were possible to paint over the CF as is or would I have to remove the clear coat? Oh, and for the record I didn't make it up as you can see.

  2. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on this one. Why would you want to put a fuel cell in a Z. Is it used to create hydrogen gas for the car to run off of? I'm just curious to know that's all.

edit: Sorry wrong fuel cell. For a second there I thought you were trying to convert your car into a hybrid of some sort. Thanks for the info.

  3. Hey let me know how that goes for you. I just got the Z bug And I've been itching to try a new brake setup. I hear that the originals are just about the lightest ones you can go with on the Z, but if it meant more stopping power I wouldn't mind switching over. Yeah, I'd probably want to keep the e-brake too. If you wouldn't mind posting where and how much you got the brakes, I'm sure others would like that as well. Thanks
