I am thinking i will have to cut off the front/ weld in a new one.
I am so crushed by this I just got done painting and put memory foam in the bride seats...... CRY
Well my friend is a machinest.
It would be great help if anyone shows me some links of people that tubed the front.

Well hit some black ice last night and hit a tree going about 15.

i have it in mine and i like it alot.

About 150 hp/150 tq. The Z-chassis is a noodle. Add 40 years and it is a pretzel. If you drive it hard or soup it up, it will crack at the a-pilar and b-pilar and at the weld between the rockers and the quarter panels. I just let it crack.
I had to weld the cracks in mine and it was STOCK!! Not anymore

they are black.

i am doing mine out of aluminum. it only has a 5/8 lip, will try and get pics.

First got the cheapo steel huggers, would have gone stainless but failed to find them at the time.
I coated them and heat treated them, and put exhaust wrap on. This seem to keep the heat out rather well.
I do however have the bigger upper hood vents on my 280 and also plan on doing side vents out the fenders.

The reverse problem is because there is a breakthrew plate in order to get into reverse. This is electronically controlled. You can make
it work with a button shift knob, or even by messing with the springs.
Some even wired it to their BRAKE, so when you brake your can reverse!!!!
I did none of that because it doesnt bug me.
I dont know about the rest of your problems though.

Yea if you look at the pics, i have to take off the filter for it even to run right.
It took me 1 min to figure out, that the filter is completely junk.
Still am tuning/breaking-in now.

Well As promised, i will start posting the fruits of my labor.
Quick summery...
The car still needs some wiring like signals, running lights and such. It has 3k hid's, that tempature color is yellow which really looks awesome on this car for some reason. Still need to upgrade my fuel system for a return style regulator!! Other then that its great!

Dry ice worked AWESOME for getting rid of the sound deadening material!!

I had to get steel block huggers to fit with my angled spark plugs. Ended up coating them and also putting exhaust wrap on them.
so far soo good!!! Heat isnt that bad, but am mostly concerned about them being to close to my brake lines.
I will prob just reroute them.

The only thing you need now is to take the chevy badge off, and put 2-step on.
Your car would sound crazy if it hit 2step because of how you engine sounds.

How do you test the stock sending unit? Also how to you wire it?
I have everything ready to go even with the resistor, but i dont know how you wire the sending unit.
please help

FYI - Not trying the be a smartass here, but it is a front air "dam" and we also need to know what kind of car this is for. These parts are different between 240/260Z's and 280Z's.

Am looking for some kind of front air damn to get me by, can be fiberglass or plastic.
Also am looking for hardware for the rear window louver, it is the two bottom latches.

It just really sucks that i put a roll cage, fully gutted it and put some sweet seats in.
Would a 1980 280zx work with my conversion set up?
like Driveline, Motor Mounts, Exhaust work????
