  1. Nice to see another TurboV8 on HybridZ. How is that Draw-Through system working for you? Is the carb dialed in?

As you can see on my Z I'm not much on hoodscoops but that little chrome scoop of yours looks pretty good poking out from under your hood. Hope to hear from you when you run it at the drag strip. Make sure you place a metal cover over the fuel cell so that you will pass NHRA tech inspection.

    Good Luck' date='

So far it seems to be doing good. Its not completely dialed in, but i havent really messed with it all that much. I bought the carb from someone on ebay, already modified for a draw through. I will be sure to keep yall posted on times. I am hoping to run it next month before its too late and i have to wait til next season.

  2. yeah its a draw through set up. I picked it up on ebay for $315. The only thing i had to build was the cross over pipe and the down pipe. I also picked up a double pumper already modified for draw through for i think $87. There were a few things I had to do, my performer RPM intake was too tall so I bought a performer, and my HEI was too big so i had to buy a points. Oh and I had 10.5 compression with vortec heads so I had to get a set of 76 cc heads. But even with that all added up, I am into the whole set up less than $1000. It was worth it in my opinion just to hear it spool. :)

  3.

    16) What is the easiest bolt on rear disc brake conversion on the 78 280z?

    Thanks' date=' in advance for anybody's help[/quote']

Here yall go. You will be suprised. This whole conversion was actually pretty simple. The only reason I have had problems is because I am picky and keep wanting more and more (fabbing up single turbo and there is hardly any room with the V8 )

Oh and there was another rear disk conversion that was about half the price, and i have it book marked on the other computer. I will post it when i get the chance.

  4. There are some headers on Ebay that work great for the swap that usually run about $60' date=' that'll save you a bunch over going name brand. I haven't had any problems with mine.

    Here's some Chrome ones: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7976164410&category=33631

They fit very nice in my application (JTR setup). There are some other ones (marked by Hotzone performance). These will NOT work. You have to get the blockhuggers with the angled collector flange.[/quote']

I used those exact headers in my z up until i went with a turbo set up. they worked great for the time they were on the car.
