corolla turbo
I have much oil consumption at my 280zx. Head is already new sealed. Now i have to change pistonrings. engine rum 190.000km. but it have tu run some km more for some years. I only use car as oldtimer on weekends. no track car. I am planing rebuild another engine but iam out of money, only rings possible. I know this isnt perfect but these engine must run for 2 or 3 years What piston rings i should buy.? Looked at ebay, there are 5 brands: Hastings,Rock, ITM,NPR, grant. The nissan dealer gave my partnumber for my car,the only seller which wrote these partnumber ( 12033-P8370) is NPR. and most piston rings are only 280Z and until 1981. now my questions: What brand makes good stuff`? Does all L28E have same ring size? one set is form 75-80 other 81-83. my 280zx is older version with "crome bumper" from 08/1981 Can i use anyone of these ore only one specific set? edit:as i know know, one ring is different 75-80 ther is 2x2x4, 81-83 there is 1,5x2x4 nissan gave me with VIN part number 12033-P8370, but this would mean i have ring 1975-1980. My 280zx first was license 08/1981 Edited August 7, 2011 by corolla turbo
