duragg
Once in a while I pop out of 2nd gear. Rebuilt with new bearings and syncros 3 months ago. Would a stiffer spring on the ball bearing for 2nd help that? When I took it apart I vaguely remember a different spring setup under one of the caps. A bent shift fork might cause it to pop out of gear. Or the syncro could be worn out again if your thrashing the second gear shift alot. duragg
Just put in nice new syncros about 100 miles ago. I think I remember pulling out 2 springs from one of the holes.

The dual spring is used for the reverse lock-out detent. The detents for the shift rods are all single springs.
