BLKMGK
Anyone see the single turbo setup in MM&FF this month? Log header on one side, crossover under the balanacer, stock looking header on the driver's side. I'm not sure where the 5.0 (5.7 maybe?) lines up in the Z but this puppy woul dbe pretty sweet in a Z. If nothing the pics might give folks ideas on building a turbo setup for the 5.0 Zs Check it out!
Guest JAMIE T
LOL, I haven't gotten one of those mags in about 2 years. I think I know all the stuff they show anyway. I've had every type of 5.0 (even 5.8+)but not turbod. There gets to be a point when car mags become boring. Granted, I've been getting them since I was 7. I let my subscription to MM&FF run out, then Hot Rod, the Automobile(probably the best for keeping folkd up to date) I have been getting Turbo Mag for a couple of issues, just cuase I don't know sheezy about turbos. I haven't learned too much from them, so I will likely not get another one until they put Z's in them(I have the issue with the red 240Z and 510 on the cover)
Guest jens
Cobra racing has 2 single powerstroke turbo installations web page The owner of this 302 z says he is going to fit a t04b http://datsun.getyours.com/v8/Ford_302/ford_302.htm
Guest Zcarsmakemyheadhurt
The Cartech kits for the 5.0 use a stock header and crossover to a custom driver side header. You can also modifiy shorty headers and clear the ZX fram I think. It works for the stangs and I agree its been a while since a mag has made me go hmm... randy 77zt
i have always thought of just puting headers on backwards and running turbo in front of motor.make sure the motor is mounted back as far as possable.the tubing would have to be ceramic coated.this would keep the runs on all tubing short.
