Guest Anonymous
Hello, I just recently looked at a 1973 240Z. The car was running before it was parked and it sat for a year. Now the carbs seem to be stuck open and the car won't start. It will fire if you squirt carb cleaner down the carbs. The car has some surface rust. It is running the dual HU carbs I believe. Both floor pans are rusted away but, the top part of the pan and the trunk and behind the seats looks like new. The frame didn't seem to have any rust on it other than surface rust. The metal under the battery seamed to be just surface rust and the metal seemed to be strong. The dash had cracks on it but all the gauges looked good. The bumpers didn't look to be in too bad of shape. The car was in primer and the LH front fender was fiberglass. The car seams to have been drained of all its fluid before it was parked. It also has Air Conditioning. I was wondering if you guys think $700 is a good deal for this car. I plan on using it for some track racing not a complete restore. Please tell me what you think.
