I would like to know how many of you would be interested in a bolt on supercharger for the '75 to '83 fuel injected Z's. This kit is designed to fit into place of the a/c compressor and will use existing intake and exhaust manifolds. Most components will be included, belts, pulleys, injectors, new T/B, stainless piping, and hoses. No intercooler will be with package due to packaging limitations, and expected boost will be in the 5-6 pounds range. Different pulleys will be developed for higher boost, as this supercharger was originally designed for 11.9 psi max boost. The unit will be an Eaton roots-style blower and will incorporate a blowoff valve integral with the unit. ANY questions or suggestions will certainly be appreciated and responded to. Thanks, Keith.

Have you considered the Vortech or ATI style centrifigul blowers? Roots type blowers make great low RPM boost but heat the air a great deal. With the RPM capability of the L6 motor I'd think that something more effective at higher RPMs would be good. Vortec makes a smaller size blower just for small displacement engines and the ATI blowers just plain rock :-) Vortech blowers might be easier to package though.

I thought about using one of those but cost was the limitation. Either of those just about double the cost of the package. Plus although the Eaton roots blower will heat up the air, this blower is meant to be used for a primarily stock style of fuel injected z car. That is why the boost limitation of 5 to 6 lbs. Plus, not all cars can rev willingly beyond 6k rpms, which means heating of the air will not be the limiting factor. The idea is to provide a relatively low cost alternative to swapping in a turbocharger setup.

Since the set up for fuel injection is exaactly the same between The 810/Maxima and the Z, there is no reason that this system couldn't fit these vehicles also.
