Drax240z
I've got a 2.25" exhaust on the stock manifold, with a Rhino muffler only. Its allright, but it does have a drone between 2000-2500rpm, and its otherwise pretty loud. If you engine is set up for high rpm (big cam, webers, headers, etc) I'd suggest a 2.5" system, if its more stock then I'd go with a 2.25" system. I'd highly suggest putting in a resonator in the trans tunnel, or as close to the manifold as you can. Being close to the manifold will cut out the resonance. For a nice european (read: V12) sound I'd run a low restriction resonator, and either resonated tips, or a supertrapp. ------------------ "Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that which I desire" -Metallica Drax240z 1972 240z - L28TURBO transplant on the way! http://members.xoom.com/r_lewis/datsun.html http://members.home.net/drax77/newpage.html
v8dats
i dont really have a running 6 cylinder car.i have a 75 280 that was intended for a v8 conversion.i now cancelled that idea in order to buy a 260 from a friend of mine.the car has a big cam, long tube headers, and a 3inch exhaust with a stock muffler.it has the tripple webbers and msd on it.the car has a wide body kit on it which i have never seen before, and a gnose up frontand whale tail.my plans for that car is to put new frame rails in it and MAYBE a smallblock..maybe(the six was rated around 320hp)
