scottk Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Hello, I am new here, as my post count indicates, and I am working on a swap currently and I got this 71b transmission for 50 bucks, so I would like to see if I could use it. I believe its from an earlier 240sx, because I think the later ones came with a 71c, but I could be wrong. Anyways, if anyone has any knowledge or experience with this transmission, I was wondering if putting a 280z bellhousing on it is the same procedure as putting a 280z bellhousing on a 71c, which I have seen covered in many places before. If not, does anyone know what I have to do? I got the transmission out of a 240sx mounted to a ka24 so it must have a bellhousing on it for that motor.
