Akira
Maybe someone can help me. I've been trying to locate my battery drain issues. I started off using a multimeter and setting it to reads amps. I disconnected the negative battery terminal. I read the amperage between the negative terminal and the negative cable end. I saw it was pulling around 170mA. So I started pulling fuses and relays. Nothing happened. Then I started pulling the connector ends out of the ECU. I noticed the drain went away. So I plugged back in the connector and started disconnecting everything that went back to that connector. Well, I pulled the connector going to the air regulator and the battery drain went away. I started tracing wires for the air regulator, one is green and the other is black. The green goes to battery 12V source. And the black goes to pin 108 for the ECU. As far as I can tell I don't see anything wrong with the wires themselves and I've tried to two air regulators and two ecu's with no luck. I must be missing something. Domzs
The green should be 12v. when the fuel pump is running and the black wire should be the ground signal from the ECM side ( pin 108 ) . Check to make sure there is no power to the green wire when key is in off position . Check the black wire to make sure it is not shorted to ground by disconnecting both connectors ( air reg. and ECM ) and check for continuity to ground . Good luck . I re-ran that green wire to the fuel pump 12v. I can't believe I didn't realize my air regulator was operating 24/7 this whole time as it was connected to the battery 12v constant source. You saved me a lot of headache and stress. Thank you thank you thank you. You the man!
