Guest Fast Frog
Your 82 ZXT engine is great for turbocharging! I had that same engine in my setup with a bigger T4 turbo and ran 15-18lbs of boost with a proper fuel delivery system. The P90 head is a turbo head-larger combustion chambers. If you don't go turbo, then you'll want to change heads cause the P90 gives you only 7.4 to 1 comp ratio. Some guys are using 240Z "E" heads and even 280Z "N" heads. The ZXT engine will fit and work in your 240 but you'll have to use your stock 240 intake manifold with the Mikuni carbs. You'll have to retune your carbs cause you you're going from 146 cubic inches to 168 cu in. If you want to go turbo, there's more hardware to buy, particularily an up graded fuel delivery system. Many of the members of this forum have great turbo systems they've installed on their 240, 260, 280 and 280ZX cars. Your about to be innundated with ideas and great turbo advise!! Enjoy!!
