TWZTID
Ive seen the JZ install for dummies but I havent found much else around. Im keen on the 1JZ install into my 260Z. I dont really plan on racing or drifting, but honestly theres a high to very high chance I'll try to throw the ass end out or give it death on the motorway at some point or several. Are the standard Z brakes ok for the 1JZ? Same with the Z diff? If not, what is the best/easiest to fit diff to replace the old one with? Is there anything else to watch out for with the install? piston
Your question is very simple, if you don't plan to race or drift, the brakes will be fine as its design to stop the car for regular driving. But it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and slap on some yota 4 pistons and upgrade master cylinder for insurance. Same goes to the diff, it wont brake unless you are racing or drifting or burn out of some sort, that's assuming you have sticky tires. Just my thought. TWZTID
The brake booster is pretty bad it will need replacing I think, is there anything out there thats close to bolting straight in other than perhaps a 280Z? Theres very few R200 diffs around here, what would be the next bes diff to fit?
