JSM
I'm putting a radiator in my wrecked camaro so I can run it from time to time. With it being wrecked the front end is quite FUBAR'd. That being said I'm mounting outside of the front end but lower than where it would normally sit. Is there a problem with it mouting it lower? kiwi303
so long as the cap is the highest point of the cooling loop you're fine, but when the radiator top sits lower than the top of the head you can get head airbubbles, a problem in VL commodores which had the RB30E engine which cracked heads and the MG MGF which had head gasket probs from excessive head head melting the nylon locating dowels and the gasket moving due to heat shift. If the rad cap is below the head/s, put an inline cap in the hose at the highest point to vent steam.
