Guest Anonymous
I dunno if i am even saying this correct, but does anyone know about Devendorf's 280ZX turbo in a IMSA GTO racecar, i was looking at i guess they installed the engine at a different angle, the caption is "Turbocharged L28 was installed in Devendorf's 280ZX at angle shown. Engine plate mount to rear face of engine block secures engine to chasis." What are the advantages of this? and how is it done? whats the point???? Drax240z
The advantage is a lower center of gravity. I don't think this is a modification worth the time or effort for anything but an all out racecar. New manifolds would most likely need to be constructed, as well as possibly modifying the oil system.
