AZGhost623
So I did the toyota front caliper upgrade on my 280. And the Rear I did the well documented maxima caliper/rotor conversion to get rid of the drums. The shop I have it at mentioned before in the past that the rear brake pads are very small, compared in relation to the front brakes (well you dont say, like I didnt notice) The concern they have is that the car will still brake ok, but because the rears are so tiny that it may not do very much. Has anyone ever run into problems with this kind of setup? Is there anything I should be worried about running two different sizes of rotors and brake pad setups? Will I run into any problems? I do not have a proportioning valve, but I did upgrade the master cylinder to the 15/16" as well. Thanks
duragg
Yes everyone has this problem, myself included. Delete the proportioning valve and get creative to balance the system. I am planning to adjust pad area on the fronts to start balancing the system a little better. Should have just left the stock fronts, but the Yotas were free and look so cool (to me, when I have the wheels off that is).
